6. which ship fans are the most annoying?

Maybe I'm putting a target on my head with this but I feel like a lot of people share the same opinion. I don't really like the hardcore fans of most of the popular ships. This fandom is known for how bad the ship wars are and that's for a reason.

You look at the most enthusiastic bakudeku fans and half of them are straight up misogynists, you look at the dekuraka version and there's like ten nice people and the others are not only misogynists but also a bunch of them are homophobic and lesbophobic. Not even the ships between the adult characters are safe because some erasermic fans can get annoying if you don't like the ship and its three hundred variations of the familly AU. Sometimes the characters Aizawa and Mic get shipped with also get attacked, especially when the characters are women. They have gotten more relaxed lately but I still don't fully trust them to be normal.

In general I try to avoid interacting with the most shipping-focused side of the fandom unless I know that they're ok with stuff from other ships too. The fandom is probably not as bad as I think it is but I got into MHA when I was 12 and the first seasons were just comming out and I ended up getting out a year later because the fandom really put me off. I just gave BNHA a second try last year and tbh part of why I keep mostly to the All Might side of the fandom is because everyone there is pretty calm and there's only like 4 ships with him and no one cares enough to fight over them.

12. the unpopular character that you actually like and why more people should like them

I will defend every character from MHA: Vigilantes with my life, especially the women. If Pop☆Step and Makoto Tsukauchi have no fans that means I died.

I think Makoto is the most underrated of the two. In fanworks, if she ever gets acknowledged at all, she's usually depicted as Koichi's love interest and Pop☆Step's rival (ew) and nothing else. Sometimes she doesn't even get a mention but still gets her quirk copied and given to her brother who has no confirmed powers at all.

I think more people should like her because she's a very smart and funny character and because, given her role in Vigilantes, I think writting fanfiction or Meta featuring her could be helpful if you want to explore the inner workings of a hero agency or the way pro heroes handle parts of their jobs that require them to act as celebrities. Also she has a lie detector quirk, SHE has it, not her brother, HER. I will never not be mad at the fandom for recognizing that her power is useful for whatever plot they want in a fic but, instead of just writting her, they gave the same power to her cop brother. Also I'm mad that Naomasa having her quirk usually happens in Vigilante AUs for the main story but Makoto, who also interacts and helps vigilantes in canon, rarely appears in any of those fics. Give my girl her plot relevancy back!!
