she couldn’t help but smile. he was always thinking of her, even before she thought about herself. while he rummaged through the stack of bags in the corner, she readjusted herself on the bed. rebecca let her legs unfold and she pulled the blanket up over her legs. “ you’re perfect, “ she told him, graciously taking the treat, “ always thinkin’.”

“ when have i ever said no to kisses? “ she smiled, feeling her world become focused directly on him. the room around her fell into a blur and lips curled up to match him. rebecca nuzzled in closer and allowed her lips to brush into his again.

“ i’m luck i have you to take care of me, “ she muttered before letting her lips whisper on his jawline.

“Mhm…I thought you might say that.” he chuckled, running a hand through her hair carefully, before kissing her again. His kisses trailed down her cheek and over her neck, before going to her shoulders. They were a little softer there, but still lingered.

“Well...I am lucky to have someone to take care of, and I wouldn’t want it any other way...”

his voice sounded different when he smiled. it was a sound that brought butterflies to her stomach, especially in such close proximity, with his arm around her. rebecca could feel her eyes naturally drifting from his lips to his eyes.

“ always more kisses, “ she smiled, her shoulders lifting with anticipation as she closed the space between them.

“Mhm...I thought you might say that.” he chuckled, running a hand through her hair carefully, before kissing her again. His kisses trailed down her cheek and over her neck, before going to her shoulders. They were a little softer there, but still lingered.

she smiled when he kissed her shoulder, his beard tickling her skin. she curled towards him, her neck craned to cherish the moment. a content hum came from within as he redirected to her lips and she lingered the kiss for as long as she could. 

“ i’m not sure, “ she smile, her voice soft as she brought her eyes up to him, “ i’m still pretty sore. “

“Mhm...” A small chuckle fell from his lips as he wrapped an arm around her to keep her close for a moment. They were lucky, in the sense that both of them were on the road together. It was still hectic, but at least they got to go to bed together at night.

“Mhm...more kisses then?” He replied, lips curved into a smile.

she could feel her heart rate coming down as he wrapped his arm around her. all of her muscles began to relax and she smiled, hearing his heart beat was always relaxing. “ you know i’ll never say no to a kiss. “ 

it was all risk and all gain when you had a title around your waist. he understood all of that. their jobs weren’t easy, but it was nights like this that made the recovery time a little bit easier.

“Mhm...I know. That´s why I suggested it,” He replied with a chuckle, before carefully leaning down to press a kiss to where she had been injured. Once that was done he moved back to her lips, pressing a kiss there.

     The thing was: Some days were just harder than others, and he was aware he wasn´t alone in that. But still, that didn´t mean that he didn´t sometimes drop the mask and just…let himself be upset, or sad.

    “I know.” A sigh as he looked up at her, shaking his head. “I´m just…going to sulk for an hour and then I´ll be BACK to normal. Promise.”

“Well, lucky for you, that I can do.” He replied with a chuckle, carefully wrapping his arm around her. Their work was rough, there was no doubt, but they both loved it way too much to be doing anything else. Surely, they kept telling each other to be careful, but in the end they´d do almost anything for a perfect match.
