day 6 | scars good luck to whoever tries to keep elain away from lucien's scar

Whenever there's a sunlight related prompt to Elain, Lucien, or Elucien, I'll be there! I love all the imagery associated with these two and sunlight - particularly Elain. In her earliest days of being fae, when she was lost in her grief and visions, it was sunlight she craved. I wanted to (attempt to) capture the peace and healing I think sunlight and nature will bring to these two. This was a lot more detailed than I normally do and I'm not really satisfied with it, but sometimes a posted "close enough" is better than a not posted "almost perfect."

Lucien stood up to Amarantha. He went to her to try and parlay with her and gain peace and when the negotiations broke down, Lucien told her to return to the shit hole she had crawled out of.

and in retribution for that he got his fucking eye torn out of his head and his face deeply scarred by her. He was in such a bad state that when Tamlin saw him he threw up.

That's horrific. That's insanely horrific and terrifying.

And yet:

-Lucien was willing to go with Tamlin and Spring Court to Amarantha again, shortly after this event, to try and make peace yet again.

-Lucien didn't back down from Rhysand when the High Lord got in his face and threatened him and his mother.

-Lucien refused to give up Feyre's name to Amarantha even when being mind tortured by Rhysand. Even knowing he would most likely die for his silence he only straightened his shoulders and readied himself for his fate.

-Lucien shouted the location of the Wyrm to Feyre, knowing full well that he would be punished for this.

-The moment he could move again after his punishment, he snuck down to the dungeons to see Feyre and try and comfort her.

Lucien never EVER stuttered or faltered on his rebellion against Amarantha and her tyranny.

Lucien is so fucking bad ass.

Emerie’s future is full of possibilities as she accomplished so much for herself in such a short time. She’s a successful business woman with her shop, winning the Blood Rite, and becoming one of the first Valkyries in more than centuries ago. We have a lot to look forward to as her story is not finish yet.

I started to draw our boy Lucien. I can't choose an hairstyle.

I feel like he should have curly hair, but he look more like Lucien to me with silky straight haiiiirrrrr >< (I blame sjm for giving him this father THIS LATE in the saga, my image of him was already made)

I drew 4 variations, it was already ridiculous, and then i discovered i could superpose them and it got worse 😂😂😂

News to me, since I spend quite a bit of my limited spare time drawing her. Maybe I'm too employed to understand why someone would post multiple posts a day about how angry they are that someone else in the fandom thinks differently than they do, but I digress. Getting a hobby might help? Idk.
