Haven't noticed anyone else point this out, but when Joe leaves Nicky and Nile on the dock to go "spend some time alone", and Nicky is all "I know when he's lying", he opens the taxi door for Nile and she smiles all surprised and gets a bit like "ooh, a gentleman!" and says "thank you!" and Nicky is just "we're following him" loooool Nile you thought you were hanging with someone who passed as landed gentry in Georgian England? I truly believe the way The Old Guard fandom pretty much died after the second film came out should be studied. Like, has there ever been such a terrible follow-up in any series, movie or television, that it killed all passion anyone had for it? Remarkable stuff.

i also like the old guard so much bc for logistical reasons in like every other action movie the heros have to come out unscathed or die. but these bitches are walking around with bullet holes and blood all over themselves and theyre fucked up badly but still walking out and its really good i just enjoy seeing the Evidence. theyre not sterile heros theyre Fucked Up. and too many action series' dont gunk up their heros enough

yall ever think maybe the reason why nicky is so playful with joe this sequel is because he sees joe missing his buddy booker (theyre the ones who always get into shenanigans) and now nicky tries to fill that void.

love the idea of anyone else cooking except for Nicky when he's not around and Joe being like - "You can't use 3 pinches of salt instead of 4 he will KNOW, I don't care if we're out- we have to go and get more - IM TELLING YOU HE'LL KNOW!" but no one listens and when Nicky gets back and tests the food the first thing he says is "why is there only 3 pinches of salt in this?" And Joe's like "I TOLD THEM BABE I TOLD ALL OF THEM"
