Theodore’s childhood.
“Theo was orphaned as an infant but was taken in by a mysterious woman known only as “The Blue Anchoress.” No one knew who or what she even was but all that is known of her is that she is perhaps the last surviving member of the ancient civilization that created the Monastery. The Blue Anchoress was described as a fearsome guardian who frightened away any who attempted steal from the Gods and concealed the existence of the Monastery from the outside world. Theodore remembered her fondly as a loving mother throughout his life. She taught him to be kind and generous as well as to be suspicious of those she deemed worldly. Despite this however, she reluctantly allowed Theodore to work for Atlas. Her gentleness unfortunately could not deliver Theodore from Atlas’s betrayal and died protecting Theodore in 1920.”
