some level of converstion around veganism happening in the mainstream again bc of billie eilish and stuff people arguing only bring up indigenous ppl when it benefits them dangerous and toxic factory farming operations are usually placed in areas very close to indigenous populations and contribute to our poisoning our communities. reservations intentionally placed in food deserts by the government. the government which also happens to fund billions into meat and dairy farming. environmental effects of factory farming have reduced the population of native foods. worldwide. remote areas that rely on hunting and harvesting have a lot less to eat because of the environmental harm done by factory farming. working in a slaughterhouse is horrible for your mental and physical health. many of the employees indigenous. could go on. its really sad how little people know. wanted to put these thoughts somewhere because i read that a pig slaughterhouse on the land of maya people was just closed down last month by indigenous resistance. i thought that was really cool
