2ND LIFE

Devin The Dude gets praise, but I still feel like its a lot of people that don't know about him. He is one of my favorite artists of all time and always delivers something great. I anticipated the release of "Doobie Ashtray" when I first heard DJ Premier was on the beat and I have been giving it spins since getting my copy of his Just Tryin To Live album. I can't resist singing the words to this song while making a "Devin The Dude face". A music video to this song would have probably been gift wrapped in hilarity! Haha

I had this classic record in my head all day, so I figured I'd post it up. "Respiration" is one of those songs that always take me back every time I hear it. Great penmanship from Mos Def, Talib Kweli and Common over one of Hi-Tek's best productions. I still wonder why they cut Talib's verse short on the video version, but I guess they aimed to keep it under five minutes. But anyway, even a soul-less deaf virgin can agree this is some classic hip hop!

I was in the studio last night listening to this old school classic. Eric B and Rakim definitely made a timeless record right here with "I Aint No Joke". Plus, Rakim is rocking the fresh hair part with the heavy duty gold ropes around his neck. Flava Flav was the perfect addition to this video as he struts like a true player. Haha Love this record.. super Hip Hop!

Haven't posted up on here in a while! Anyway, here's our latest video for those who haven't seen it yet. Filmed in Chicago near the lakefront by the super awesome Dave Galaxie. You get a good view of the skyline and a glimpse at lower Wacker Drive. Check out the title song from last year's CNS Vol 3: Don't Care mixtape.
