Setting day

The Artwork was inspired from the people living near or in manila bay. Some of them make their livelihood there, some make it their dating spots, and some make it their home. Manila bay has not been well maintained as it used to and yet people still come and dwell near it. It peaked my curiosity and decided to put it in film and show the things happening while the sun is setting in manila bay. The video depicts the life near the bay where the sunsets and how people are still active even when the sun is setting. The overall message for me to the audience is that to strive to live is positivity. To wait patiently, to work hard, to love until the end of the “day” is brought forth by the positivity that is instilled in us. Making the subjects into silhouettes emphasizes their actions and their meaning. The color and sunset depicts the end of the day, but also a start of a new one. That even if the day ends life continues and we have to live on. This brings contrast to the subjects who are living their life until the sun sets.
