I say “should be” because people would expect us to be close, but we’re not.

At first, I was so excited for karma to finally be making an appearance that I forgot to be mad. But now that my giddiness has settled down, it occurs to me that I should be really pissed off about this.

I work with very sensitive financial data. In a small town. If this blows up and turns into something, people will hear about it. No matter how innocent or uninvolved I am, this will reflect badly on me and my firm. Because that’s just how people and gossip mills work.

I mean, what a pathetic cry for attention. Especially considering I’ve never seen a single person make this announcement and then ACTUALLY leave social media.
