In case no one told you growing up
Bras last longer if you let them air dry. Don’t put them in the dryer.
If you have a problem with frizzy hair, don’t dry your hair with a towel. It makes the frizzies worse. (I recently read an article that said to use a t-shirt? I brush mine out and let it air dry.)
Whites wash best in hot water. Everything else can be in cold - save on your electricity bill.
You can kill 99.9% of germs in a sponge by putting it in the dishwasher for a cycle or by microwaving it for 2 min (be sure to make the sponge damp before microwaving and to put a cup half full of water in with it and please DO NOT squeeze the sponge until it has cooled off)
Airing out your room/house and letting sunlight in every so often can decrease the number of household pests like silverfish and ants.
Black underwear is best during your period as stains are less likely to be visible.
To save money, put aside 10% of each paycheck into a savings account. It’ll add up.
Unless your hair has something on/in it (like grease or mud or something), using conditioner first can actually be the better choice. The conditioner holds in the good oils that help you hair look sleek and beautiful, which shampoo would otherwise wash away.
Speaking of shampoo - if you have long hair, washing just the bits that touch your scalp is generally enough. The rest of your hair gets cleaned with just the run off from your scalp.
If you put a tampon in and it’s uncomfortable/you can feel it, you didn’t do it quite right. A properly placed tampon is virtually unnoticeable by the wearer.
Apply deodorant/antiperspirant a couple hours in advance of when you need it. This gives the product the chance to block your sweat glands. Using deodorant just before going somewhere where you’ll sweat (this means walking outside for people in high humidity places) results in your sweat washing the deodorant off and starkly limiting its usefulness.
After running the dryer, use the dryer sheet from that load to brush out the lint catch - it gets everything off in a fraction of the time it’ll take you to get it clean with your bare hands. Paper towels also work well.
Wash your face everyday, or as often as possible. Forget which brand of cleanser is best. Just washing your face everyday will guarantee you clearer skin. And do you best not to pop pimples, as tempting as the urge may be.
Fold laundry asap after taking it from the dryer to avoid wrinkles. This may seem obvious for dress shirts and silly for things like t-shirts, but you’ll notice the difference even then once your shirts stop looking like unfolded paper balls.
To all the kids whose parents couldn’t help you with this kind of stuff
Thank

Episode 5 of Chernobyl will be the last episode.
I know that HBO Valery Legasov is not the real Valery Legasov, and that how HBO chooses to show Legasov after the Chernobyl disaster doesn’t really make a difference because it doesn’t impact what really happened, BUT
I am still nervous about the finale because I know there are people who are watching this show that don’t know what happened to Valery Legasov afterward.
There is only 60 minutes to wrap this story up. I’m worried about what might be skipped. The little things that made such a difference.
Things like:
He was in the hospital in spring of 1987 and they told him his bone marrow wasn’t functioning like it was supposed to.
Gorbachev personally crossed out the name ‘Legasov’ every time people were being given awards for their work at Chernobyl. Legasov was given a watch for his work instead as an insult.
He talked for 5 hours and then answered questions for hours more in Vienna and got a standing ovation. He was considered one of the top scientists in the world after that.
He was happy after his speech in Vienna, and then he met with Gorbachev and Party officials, and then he wasn’t the same after that.
He tried, many times, to improve the safety of nuclear power, only for his proposals to be blocked again and again simply because of who he was.
The Party tried to erase his name from history. They tried to silence him.
As this battle of Legasov vs. the Party went on, he became increasingly an agitator of the Party, exposing the truth as much as he could.
Toward the end of his life, he miserably told his friends, “I told the truth in Vienna, but I didn’t tell the whole truth,” and he beat himself up for not saying all he wanted to say.
Obviously, that’s a lot of things. They can’t possibly hit them all.
I just want it to be clear to the people watching the show that Valery Legasov sacrificed his body, his name, his reputation, his career, and his life over this, and he got nothing in return.

One of the greatest historical shows I have seen in my life. It captured the life and death of those who tried to find the truth perfectly.

I don’t think that Adelita actually wants to cooperate with Galindo or destroy the cartel, I think she aims for the throne. And I won’t be surprised if she’s gonna succeed and eventually become the antagonist of the following seasons.
Amen 👏👏🙌🙌
What is Perfection? (Rant)
I'm not perfect, the word perfect itself is not perfect. What is perfect though? Is being perfect something that you want or what society wants? If being perfect means being beautiful, having amazing grades, wearing the best clothes, having the nicest car then I do not want to be perfect. You may be wondering why I'm saying that? It's because being perfect is BORING! Look at the Kardashians for example money, implants for days, makeup perfectly done, etc. and yet all they do on their TV show is fight, fight, and show off their very expensive clothing/homes/cars. I'm not saying you cant be perfect you probably are in your own little way. But perfection usually comes from the outside and what you may deem as "perfection" society may show as trashy. Life isn't perfect, being perfect is like being normal it's just not possible.
