Steve-Nancy-Jonathan rant before stranger things 5
Ok I go on a lot of tangents in this but bare w me
I’m actually going to use Katniss Everdeens crossbow as an IUD if they kill any of them for the sake of this love triangle.
Guys I made an account specifically to talk about the stancy-jancy FUCKASS love triangle that the Duffers randomly thought was important it bring back. Because we’ve deadass been over this in season 2 bro like Jancy’s been established but nooooooo Jonathan can’t have anything.
They actually just backhanded Jonathan after season 1 and made his entire purpose either Will or Nancy. He had SO MUCH POTENTIAL to be an amazing character since Charlie is an amazing actor but they just keep sidelining him? And don’t get me started on how Lonnie was basically lost in the void after s1 too. We find out that Jonathan is basically the father figure in his house at just 15 years old after is abusive dad just dips and we watch as he blames himself just for it to never be brought up again. Also no hate to Joyce but she also doesn’t treat Jonathan like her own kid either . She only sees will as her little kid while Jonathan has so much responsibility in s1 just for all of it to never get talked about again.
He literally doesn’t have his own character anymore and it’s just revolved around Will or Nancy and it was okay until s4 hit where new characters like Argyle and Eddie were more important than him. I know he probably became a stoner to cope with the massive amounts of trauma (planning ur brother’s funeral alone, getting absolutely beat in the hospital, etc.) but notice how the duffers literally made it have nothing to do with that? All we see on screen is that he’s just doing this with Argyle for fun and games and I’m not saying that he can’t do that but literally how was it important to the plot bro.
Sorry about the Jonathan rant very passionate about that miserable little lesbian.
But back to the love triangle tell me why Jonathan was gone for one moment and suddenly we want Stancy again. Like be so serious?? We’ve established that Steve wasn’t the one for Nancy way back then and now we want to bring it up again for the new season? Because I’ve been praying on my hands and knees and digging my palms in the gravel for Steve and Jonathan friendship to happen since Joe and Charlie have such a good relationship outside of the show and you’re telling me that they’re most likely gonna be fighting over Nancy the last season? BORINGGGGG YAWNINGGGGGG THATS TRASHY ASF. Because imagine literally sliming Steve’s character arc as well because his whole arc is growing out of being a bully but now that he’s improved he’s going to fight with Jonathan again over his ex? Worlds legiterally ending and you think now’s the perfect time to start fighting again? Rip open my uterus and give me a daily period flow for that one.
Because I’ve been waiting for the monster hunting trio to come back for so long I’m going to be so mad if they’re just beefing the whole time until vecna tentacle slaps one of them.
Stancy is terrible and literally any of their variation of the three of them would be better. Stonathan, Stoncy, Jancy, but NEVER Stancy. Because they already didnt work out in earlier seasons and their chemistry was randomly brought back for no reason in season 4 when Jonathan was away. Also it was SO weird that Steve brought up the 5 nuggets thing with her again like Steve is cool but WHY would he say that to a taken women. Are we seriously going to make all these perfect characters insufferable for the finale?
THE LOVE TRIANGLE IS GONNA DESTROY ALL OF THEIR CHARACTERS
Can we please just stop the love triangle I can’t do this anymore just let Jancy live in peace or at this point make Stonathan bro.
(ALSO JANCY LITERALLY HAD MATCHING SCARS LIKE IMAGINE NANCY IN THE FUTURE LOOKING AT THAT)
