As of today I've been in Maine for 2 years 🎈So on the blog today I tried to answer some questions I've gotten about moving here and life in Maine as someone "from away."

I love Maine!! I live in New York, and for 10 years I lived in Zone 3b, on the St. Lawrence in the Adirondacks, as far North as I could. I only ever visit coastal Maine, and only in the summer, so I was wondering if I would be comfortable living more inland. I want to visit the Inland in the winter to make sure I'd be happy, because I dream of running away to Maine. Do you think, based on my previous living experience, I would be comfortable?

I definitely think you would be. Generally inland Maine gets more snow than the coastal area, and also gets much hotter in the summer. As long as your house is well-stocked, you have everything you need to heat your house, and you have someone to plow your driveway, you should be fine!
