Manipuri hat – Kajenglei

Kajenglei is a traditional Manipuri hat. It’s made of bamboo and can be used as a wall decor too. 

​I have been thinking about my life. On a working day, I spend more than 14 hours in front of a laptop. I sleep for about 8 hours, spend time cooking, eating, talking to my husband or colleagues for some time. Even when I am traveling, I’m using my mobile phone–even now I am writing this sitting in an Uber cab.  I am not using spectacles yet, though doctors advised using at least an anti-glare…

Well, if you haven’t thought of the qualifications of a pest controller, here it is. Yes, when you are going to kill thousands of pests (God’s creations), you should be a God fearing person. I love collecting the traditional items especially kitchen tools and utensils. Here’s another traditional item I got from the local market this week. 

Tender coconuts are a usual sight in South Indian roadsides. The normal rate in Bangalore is INR 30. It’s tasty, sweet, and healthier than soft drinks like Coca-Cola or Pepsi. 

New members in the family

I gifted myself these two pretty girls on my birthday! “ Mum sisters” I call them. Just hundred rupees for both. One had a pot but the other one was in a small growbag. Mums The chrysanthemum I had earlier was very pretty but she died an untimely death.  Though I tried my best to save her, I blame myself for the loss. I am prepared this time.
