@ohneweiterebedeutung hahaha you know, in manga and anime there are more or less defined character archetypes that combine behavior, physical characteristics and storylines. they’re more pronounced in female characters but male ones have them too. so when a boy in a series looks like this

just by looking at his softer features you already know he’s either a nerd, weak, not as masculine as other male characters and so on. now when a character looks like this

people already know he fits the serious role. more adult, not interested in childish activities, more mature than the rest, more often than not a loner, not expressive, never talks about his emotions, rational, etc. both characters are actually around the same age, so the physical differences are just there to emphasize those archetypes.

and back to chris, he just looks like a bearded, blond version of the second character lol. at least that’s what i first thought when i got that message.
