New characters have been added to the Basara family! Kato Kiyomasa (cv: Eguchi Takuya) and Komatsu-hime (cv: Akenaya Himika)

They also released a commemorative logo and an illustration made by Makoto Tsuchibayashi, for the coming 15th anniversary of the game.

北米版の

ちょっと気になったSWORD SUMMITの聞き取り間違いからきているであろう翻訳ミスを指摘してみます。

北米版BDは歌詞の英訳と日本語歌詞のローマ字表記を1話ごとに、交互に字幕で表示しています。

そこでのローマ字表記が一部間違っていたんですね。

そのため聞き取り間違いが分かったのです。

ただ私は英語初心者なのでこの指摘があっているかは不明。

もっと正しい直し方があれば教えてください。

あと単に英語ではどのように訳されているのかメモしておきたいので、特に問題なさそうな部分も載せています。

Very interesting! There are several mistakes in the NA Sengoku BASARA home video translation for SWORD SUMMIT.

As a native speaker I would adjust some lines further (but this is just my opinion):

→ A flower not waiting for fate brings them together

→ The heart that consumes the fever aches

(Or maybe devours... it's a very passionate song!)

→ Taking the challenge for the thrill it is

Sengoku BASARA Secret Santa 2018

Hey, guys! Nexu101 here! I know it’s a bit last-minute, but I was hoping we could do another Secret Santa event this year!!

The guidelines are simple: each participant will be matched to another participant through a random number generator. Once you place your information in the table below, I will message you the name/URL of the person you have been assigned to. You will be able to find information about this person’s OCs and preferred canon characters in their table entry and create a gift for them to be shared on December 25th. Remember, it’s a secret, so don’t reveal your identity to the person until Christmas Day! If you have questions about the person’s OCs, you can send them to me, and I will serve as a go-between for you and your person. Artists of any skill and experience are welcome! Lastly, I’d like to create an etiquette rule for this event - no negativity. That includes complaining about your gift. I can attest that each and every submission is made with love and care and should be treated with the respect it deserves. So let’s have fun and celebrate the holidays together!!

Voice actor Koji Tsujitani has passed away.

Sad news today. Tsujitani gave Basara’s Nagamasa his unique voice and did so with a lot of energy.

New Sengoku BASARA Stage Play! “AZURE CRIMSON ERA!”

Super COOL news Basara fans!! The Official Basara Twitter page, announced that a new Sengoku Basara Stage play is in the works and scheduled to premiere December 2018!!!!

“Butai Sengoku Basara: Soku Ranse! (”Azure Crimson Era”) Two rival performances are planned, possibly featuring original stories and two distinct rival warrior casts! Not quite sure about the plot of the stage plays, but the cast is certainly exciting!!!!

On team RED: “Mirai e no hokori“ (Pride for the Future): starring warriors Sanada Yukimura (reprising role by the unforgettably gorgeous and perfect Matsumura Ryuunosuke!!!), Tokugawa Ieyasu, Chosokabe Motochika, Yamanaka Shikanosuke, Kuroda Kanbe, Mori Motonari, Akechi Mitsuhide/Tenkai and a special FIRST APPEARANCE by MIYAMOTO MUSASHI!!!!!!!!!!

For team BLUE: THE PRIDE: are Date Masamune, Ishida Mitsunari, Maeda Keiji, Yamanaka Shikanosuke (idk he’s on both sides??!), Goto Matabei, Mogami Yoshiyaki, Takenaka Hanbei, and Toyotomi Hideyoshi!

A teaser trailer has been released (though I haven’t found a translation yet).

More info is sure to be released in the new future! It’s sure to be a hot-blooded rivalry performance!!!!

This is it, this stage play is performed at similar dates as Shinken Ranbu Sai 2018 (yes I have somehow ended up as a big Touken Ranbu fan as well). I need to go there somehow ! !

Are you still into SenBasa? What do you think about Gakuen being animated?

I am, just taking a long break since there isn't so much new stuff coming out and other things have had my attention :)Definitely going to be watching the Gakuen Basara anime! It's getting close to zero hype on any anime sites I follow but I hope it will be fun and set things up for more Sengoku Basara content in future.

Ahhhhh I can’t wait! Masamune, Yukimura and Keiji are in the same class, but Chousokabe is in a different class with Mouri. Kojuuro and Sasuke are also in the same class. Ah, is not the same, but I like it a lot.

Any news on that SB modern manga stuff??? I gotta see my hubbybae Kojuro in modern clothes (or see him ride a motorcycle) asap or I'll die.

It seems that the first collected volume is scheduled for 20th October 2016 at last! It should start appearing in other store listings soon.

For anyone who didn’t know, the publisher made the first chapter available for free on its website (Kojuurou doesn’t do anything in the first chapter since it’s mostly introducing Masamune and the antagonists but hey, free manga available worldwide, what’s not to like?)
