saw the official art of the genderbent teikkoku trio and it felt like a calling, like an inazumaclown-shaped bat-signal shining on the dark clouds above, and i came out of my inazuma art retreat to offer you my vision, along with one headcannon for each. assume they are all lesbians, bc i am.

fudou is a chick-magnet. nobody knows of she does it. men are actively repulsed by her. she enjoys both aspects of her reality.

genda gets male and female suitors, reunited in a huge fanclub. some are here for their muscle mommy obsession, and some for her genuinely nice and helpful personnality. she does her best to ignore all of them.

sakuma only gets hit on by men. she is distraught about it. i did scan through @tokytopia's blog to be sure i didn't plagiarize any of her sakuma fem designs, as i deem her an authority over any sakuma representation.

and like , Kevin cares about his friends even if he's bad at saying it, he rather prove it with small gestures, throughout the show he has matured, he learned to be more patient whilst still giving his all; he manages to control his anger and his feelings better, and although he finds it hard to open up to others at first, always reducing him as a big rude brute that dont know anything about softness and love just screams " i dont care about this character at all "

in general this fandom is really dismissive of kevin, and it's so sad.

he has about the same amount of screentime & narrative relevance as nathan for example, not to mention they get paired up a lot in canon, yet nathan gets significantly more attention.

despite how meaningful and impactful kevin's role in the story is, several important plot points revolving around him, his incredibly heartfelt relationship with shawn, literally any of his other friendships, and the fact that he's just a super inspiring and well-written character, people will still find ways to ignore him altogether in favour of more conventionally appealing characters with lighter skin and more typical "anime pretty boy" features.

People dismiss him as the "angry brown guy" and completely overlook any depth his character has, to the point that even when he's supposedly the focus via somefubu hes basically just a cardboard cutout or an angry caricature for shawn to interact with. It pisses me offfff

as for shawn, he's a fan favourite and yet he gets mischaracterised so much, either as a petite, fragile boy who needs to be protected, or as a super forward and sometimes bordeline perverted guy, and both make me so mad. its like he isnt allowed to be both capable of deep sadness and vulnerability & be strong (physically and emotionally), confident and sarcastic without one of the two traits being pushed to toxic caricatural extremes.

moot in the reblogs already said this but this reeks of misogynistic and homophobic stereotypes. and actually im gonna go further and say that the treatment of kevin by the fandom is rooted in racism & colourism. to quote something my friend once said, so many white fans just cover their ears and pretend fandom is this pure, welcoming space completely divorced from real life problems. but it isn't. i know for most fandom isnt really the space where they wanna be checking their biases. but. actually they should do it anyway.
