“Who else would come crawling back to you?” Jupiter retorted with an impish grin, twirling a curl of black hair around her finger.

“Mmmmm,” Jerome growls. “Just as spunky and straight to the point as I remember.” He smirks, hand encircling your waist and gently pulling you in. “Not the only thing I remember.”

“Yeah,” Jerome replies in a growling, possessive tone. His hands immediately find themselves on your body, holding to your curves. He releases a hushed sigh at the close proximity before closing the gap and pressing his mouth to yours.

Jerome scrunches his face up like an adorable disgruntled kitten. “Ouch, rude?!” He laughs, nonetheless, and grabs your foot.

Jerome giggles and brings your foot up to his mouth, mouthing ridiculously at it. He pauses and furrows his brows at you, releasing your ankle. “What’s that supposed to mean?”

“Psh, how could I not? You practically lit the way for me Ginger. With that yellow suit and all.”

Jerome smirks. “I always did know how to put on a show. You, however, are quite unforgettable, Val.”

Jerome watches with fond adoration. “Oh, believe me, sweetheart, I am well aware.” He eyes you curiously, sidling up next to you. “We both know I’m just as unforgettable, hmmm? Ya did come looking for me after all.”
