Blueink: Toons and Monster!
Cuphead and Mugman are monster hunters!
They capture and kill the monster for money. So basically bounty hunters!
It's seems like a dangerous and admirable job, doesn't it? That's why many people like and respect them, but jokes on them!
Since they made a deal with the Devil and are forced to work for him!
When the cup bros capture monsters, they actually give their souls to the Devil their, so he can feed on them.
The fact that the brothers earn money from this is just a bonus, so nobody could suspect that they work for the Devil!
Although, both cup and mug are forced to do this, they also lightly enjoy fighting monsters.
Mostly due to the trauma, because:
1. Most monsters are actually bad (not all, but some of them destroy things, or eat other toons)
2. They can't do anything to the devil, so it's like their unhealthy way of copying.
Since they have a big hatered for the devil and cannot really do anything to him, they need to cope in other ways, and this time it's fighting and killing monsters.
Mugman especially hates monster and enjoys taking care of them. He often sees them as creatures related to the Devil.
Now.. for Bendy and Boris!
Bendy (demon) & Boris (werewolf)
Bendy and Boris are both monsters, who are very calm and chill, but still live in hiding. They have a normal life in a town. But recelty there was a full moon and Boris accidentally tranformed into a beast near the town folks and it ruined their cover! The town people in fear tried to "defend" themself from Boris and actually attacted him!
Bendy didn't want to hurt anyone, but he needed to protect his brother. He distracted the town folks from the werewolf and scared them a lot.
Now the people from town request the monster hunters to capture Bendy and Boris!
Now how does the rest go??
Bendy and Mugman have the most enemies to lovers relationship ever! Once Mugman sees Bendy, he decides that He should be the one to take him down! Bendy is a Demon, so he resembles Devil even more than the previous monsters that Mug faced. So Mugman is SUPER fixated on capturing and killing him.
Bendy meanwhile is supper irritated and tired of Mugman and how determined he is. Bendy just wants a peacefull life and this guys is trying to not only kill him, but also his brother! But Bendy notices, that Mug is mostly unhealthy fixated on him and he takes it to his advances, so Boris can be far away from him.
Bendy and Mugman fight a lot. LIKE A LOT-
And each new fight brings MORE tension between them-
And the line between anger and sexual tension is really.. really.. invisiable.. or even non-existent.
And it gets from "I want you GONE!" -> "I hate your guts-!" -> "Why don't you come closer and find out!?"
I can imagine them fighting and somehow their fight seems or turns into a Dance (which both of them love)
And once they actually realise that they are attracted to the other one- They have a small crisis in their head- As of "You can't actually LIKE him, he wants you gone!"
They dont stop fighting obviously- but it slowly and unintentionally turns into flirting, that both of them enjoy in secret-! Until they end up somehow making out-
Then what about Boris and Mugman..?
In the meantime Cuphead and Boris accidentally form a friendship in the most unexpected and comedical way (that gives us balance lol) I can imagine Cuphead throwing Boris a ball while the guy is in his werewolf form haha!
[It also gives us a possibility of very strong queerplatonic relationship between Boris and Cuphead (<- Im ONLY able to Cuphead in queerplatonic relationships since he's aroace like me lol)]
In the end both monsters and monster fighters somehow find a solution to their problem with a help of Shelly :D. I think that in this au she would be SO interested in monsters, as a hyperfixation, anatomy, quirks ect. (Something like Laios from delicious in dungeon)

I need Shelly to meet the two monsters just so she could go crazy and analyze them, I’d imagine because of the monster hate she’s never seen any in person (and possible dogbone or inkyshell for a blueink alternative👀) HER LOOKING ALL OVER BORIS AND SEEING HOW BIG HE IS AND BORIS’ TAIL IS GOING CRAZY RRRYYGYHHHH
And enemies to lovers when they fight so much it blurs that lines between hatred and flirting….oh that’s my shit. Mugman would be the most confused and in denial out of the two cause how could he even begin to like a monster and a DEMON at that. What a weirdoooo..
