DRAGON HEIR.

dragon straightens , pushing back the thoughts & feelings that were haunting him.  he needn’t the widow to see him weak.   ❝ i suggest you & your people look for some other errand boy.  i have no interest in your dealings.  ❞   

though his body expressed some other sentiment , that persist feeling continue to creep on him.  could she through his lies ?  his false bravado ?  hanzo yearned to be something again , however he wanted to do it on his terms.  the spider’s deal was not for him or maybe it was his only option he merely didn’t to admit.  was it pride , pride that simply didn’t want to lower himself , lower his standards.

the dragon sits within the silence , though his heart beats to an unsteady drum.  his fingers twitch nervously , curling into the fabric of his clothing.  his face twisting , tightening , stained with pain expression.  the man was uncomfortable for his mind is in a wild rush , a feverish tone.  he does his best to mask the unstable emotions whirling in his soul.  but his efforts are a waste , the quiet sound of a sigh jolts him to life , eyes falling upon the individual that had been resting.   

❝ genji , you’re awake !  ❞   serpent’s voice cracks with anguish as he rushes to his brother’s bedside.  hanzo’s brown hues glisten as he gazes upon the other , trying to hold back any emotion that may spill out.    ❝ how are you feeling ?  shall i retrieve doctor ziegler for you ?  ❞   

a pinch of worry , desperation , dances onto his tongue.  he was trying to remain calm , although , his brotherly instincts were at the frontlines.  it was clear the eldest shimada didn’t wish to lose this younger again ; the pain would be too much for him.

with ancient hunger howling the man wore his fangs , tearing at iron flesh & banishing back wicked souls.   although , even with his great strength he still held mortal blood.   a single beast among the vast sea of the mad , but in the dark hour a light seeped through.   the raising sun of the west ; the shape of man came to aid him.   it was not what the shimada expected , though he suppose someone of base line skill held some worth.

❝  did not think you of all people would be here.  ❞   words swiftly strike like a blade , flying loosely & fluidly , holding nothing back.   

❝  but i suppose you will have to do.   just don’t expect anything to come of ‘ this ’, a mere ‘ temporary ’ arrangement. .  ❞   boldy does he speak ; it was the mere nature of the dragon , seeing no reason to restrain emotions.   honesty was a gift to be used after all.   regardless , hanzo truthfully didn’t wish to mislead the other man into thinking their joint force was going beyond what it was.   

even if said vaquero was familiar with his brother.   serpent could not deny he held some resentment for the northern dragon’s new companions.   another reason for his sharp melody but the latter is kept behind sealed lips ; a secret for the grave.

it is a strange for the dragon lord to find himself ever so speechless.   to easily be caught off guard.   it’s practically impossible , but such was achieve by this individual , this mortal.   or perhaps immortal ?   their breeze blew in a direction the archer could not tell where it came from or where it would go.   they were an enigma ; certainly that made them dangerous ... but strangely alluring.

❝  you are unlike any man i’ve crossed.   just who are you ?  ❞  vocals crackle like thunder , asserting a harden stance.   shimada could tell the lone wolf before him was no pup.   their body language was firm & steady , perhaps a bit too ridged ; but even a rusty blade can cut deep.   such affirms the spirit tamer of the caution needed to be taken.

dragon dances the thin edges , circle foreign creature , keeping steely gaze trained on the larger man’s frame.   distance needed to be held tightly but shimada still coils like the viper in his soul , readying to bear fangs & strike the jugular.   although , he needn’t be with haste.   being weary was important , taking things with a clear mind is the difference between life & death.   but he could not deny there was a tingle in his flesh , a rush ; was this excitement ?

despite his loner motif there was still something to had from the girl’s strangeness.  the mere taste of familiarity that lingers , filling his being with flumes of nostalgia.  bringing him back to his younger days particular to the thought of genji & he.  such imagery leaves him under a spell , it’s a bit intoxicating although not in the euphoric kind.  there’s pain & sorrow like a knife twisting in a fresh wound.  but beneath the agony there is a glimmer of something warm.  a pinch of a sentiment ; fleeting , fading.  still , it’s a noticeable feeling of a simpler time.

again the serpent rolls clouds from his tongue , but his exhale is far from his previous one.  he regaled her with charming tinge of a smile.   ❝  you remind me of my brother.  however , you are far mature than he was.  ❞
