In the disenchantment lane.

My life has changed so much over the last year. I survived a year in the strange and wonderful place known as northern Virginia. It's been hard, but I've learned a lot. I've been making friends, and I've learned a lot about myself. I can now successfully and dare I say, expertly navigate these roadways, and I've been to probably every Starbucks within a 20 mile radius. I'm working at a job I love, while continuing to pursue a career I'm passionate about. I've started writing again, and while this scares me, I'm ready to take this on. I fell out of love with the person I wanted to marry. And while having to file a restraining order wasn't the way I wanted to end things, I'm happier than I've ever been. The entire ordeal has opened the door to the possibility of things blossoming between someone I feel incredibly strong about and I. And while there's someone else in the picture (my picture, not his), I'm gonna ride things out and see where I land. I'm good right now. And I haven't been able to say those words with genuine honesty in years.

Just got to work and all I wanna do is go home and poop.
