A new, fun space for kids opened 3 months ago, but it’s not a playground, or even outdoors. It’s the Kid Museum in Bethesda, and this weekend they presented the winners of a very exciting contest.

Retired Lt. Col. Lee Mitchell was invited to sing at the inauguration of Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan and Lt. Gov. Boyd Rutherford...but for Mitchell, singing is a family affair.

The inauguration of Governor Larry Hogan involved the combined efforts of many who put in long hours to pull together the quadrennial event only to have to clean it all up and break everything down once the officials and guests have  all departed.

This year’s veteran’s day activities around Washington, DC included a huge concert at the mall and a wreath laying ceremony at Arlington Cemetery attended by the vice president. But one town in Maryland honored their vets in a more personal way. Raecine Williams has the story.
