Tomorrow [Raegar/Freya]
"Itâs⌠Danish, yes." It felt nice to speak about this. She smiled softly at the compliment to her name. It was a nice thing she didnât really hear all that often. And to her relief she wouldnât be needing to put out her cigarette around this stranger. And in a celebration of sorts, she took a long, deep drag.Â
"Hm? Well, work called in and told me I could take the day off, since I worked through the weekend not to long ago and my boss extended this as a form of reward for all my hard work." She explained in more detail than she wanted to, even though it still wasnât that detailed at all.Â
She was oddly comfortable speaking to a total stranger. Someone she didnât have to worry about judging her because she didnât need to worry about seeing them again, like she was making herself believe.
"Danish..." He repeated the word, trailing off in his own thoughts. "So, have you ever eaten risengrød? It's supposed to be quite popular this time of year... I still haven't perfected mine, I was hoping to serve it at the restaurant for the holidays."Â
He paused as she spoke, listening intently. "So you seem like quite the hard worker. But it's always a good idea to enjoy your days off, which it seems like you are." Raegar nodded, looking at the stream in-front of them once more.Â
He relaxed in the sudden silence, not exactly minding it much. He could still hear the ambiance of the woods around them, and it was somewhat calming just speaking to a complete stranger from a distant town.
