Alastor knew something was wrong the moment he walked into the hotel. Everything seemed normal, but there was something off about the atmosphere. The only ones who were there today seemed to be charlie and vaggie, who were in the middle of a conversation, and Husk, who was sitting in his usual place at the bar, staring absentmindedly at a bottle of half empty booze.
Charlie turned around and saw alastor walk in “Oh, Alastor, you’re back! How was the meeting?” Charlie eagerly waved at him as he walked inside. “Why, it was boring as usual, my dear. Same old people with the same old conversations! It’s quite tedious, really” He proclaims, looking around the lobby. “What are you looking around for? Do you need something?” Vaggie glares, crossing her arms and legs. “Yes indeedy! I’m wondering if you’ve seen y/n?” He asks, raising an eyebrow and slightly bending over with his arms resting on his back. “ they’re in their room, but I haven’t seen them all day. Something seems to be bothering them.” Charlie puts her finger on her cheek in thought. “Alright thank you, my dear” Alastor hastily walks up the stairs and heads for your room.
He knocks softly on your door before before opening it. “Darling?” He pokes his head in, before walking in and locking the door behind him. He sees you sitting in bed, with the blanket wrapped around you and some napkins littered on your bed and floor. “Are you alright, my dear?” He strides over to you and stands in front of you. “..I’m fine, al. I just had a shitty day, that’s all.” You mumbled, hugging the blanket closer to you and looking away from his gaze. Alastor stays silent for a few seconds or so, looking you over before putting his hand on your cheek and turning you to look at him.
“Sweetheart, I know something’s bothering you, and I won’t force you to tell me about it if you don’t want to. But if there’s any way I can help, I’d like to know.” He runs his thumb over you cheek, his smile softening into a more genuine one. Hesitantly, you wrapped your hand around his slender arm and leaned into his touch, sighing. You smiled, happy to know that Alastor cared so much about you. “ just, stay with me for a bit?” Your whisper was barely audible, but Alastor heard it loud and clear. “Of course, my darling!”
