And even though years have passed it still feels as if it was just yesterday in my heart. I nearly died.

My dad asked me why I’ve been single for so long but I don’t think I’ll ever be able to explain the betrayal. I’ve done so much work on healing. However, I just will never be able to naively believe that someone fully loves only me. Hmm. I’ve gotten everything I want. My bachelors in science, my career, my home, my car, everything I own but I just don’t think I’d ever be able to be naive and love someone again. It truly did change me.

Feeling so thankful today. For it all even the really bad days. I see everything falling so perfectly into place. I know it was all worth it.
