Kayn  couldn't  stop  smiling.  Dex  was  just  so  cute  when  they  threatened  him.  Biting  his  lip  as  he  watched  them  taste  his  blood,  the  paladin  canted  his  head  to  the  side  in  order  to  give  them  more  room  to  bite,  his  fingers  lacing  into  their  hair.  "Darling,  I  would  never  use  the  wizard  to  get  a  reaction  out  of  you."  He  breathed,  tugging  at  their  hair  playfully,  "I  think  it  might  be  best  to  leave  the  biting  to  the  vampire."  Kayn  teased,  not  actually  protesting  or  fighting  back  in  any  meaningful  way.

In  truth,  the  whole  encounter  with  Gale  made  his  skin  crawl.  He  didn't  want  to  be  romantically  engaged  with  the  wizard,  but  it  was  hard  to  say  no  to  someone  with  an  explosive  in  their  chest  that  was  supposed  to  be  big  enough  to  take  out  the  Absolute.  Right  now,  though,  he  didn't  want  those  thoughts  to  consume  him.  He  just  wanted  to  be  with  Dex  and  lose  himself  in  them  instead.

it's far too easy to feel carefree & light with him. easier than it should be given everything that lies ahead of them, not to mention the worms still squirming within their heads. dex doesn't want to think about what it all means. for now, they're having fun. a little fun amidst the chaos is a good thing.

Was it really? No. He didn't think so. She wouldn't have come seek him out if she didn't intend to stay the night at the very least. When she showed up, he had originally thought she was there to tie up loose ends, in a manner of speaking. Though, Astarion was happily surprised when it was just a wine visit, and even happier when he had convinced her to allow him to drink from her. So, no. He was quite confident that she was bluffing.

"Mmmm, well, I would say yes, but I do think you're bluffing, my sweet." Astarion teased, repositioning his body so that his knee rested between her legs, not close enough that she could generate any friction from it, but close enough to tease, to promise.

Quirking a brow at her question, he slipped a hand beneath her, pulling Shadowheart's body against his with ease, allowing her to feel just how much he wanted her. She had always been the second most beautiful person in camp, next to himself, of course. Though if he was being truthful, he had always felt a connection with Shadowheart. Since he had gotten to know her in earnest, Astarion had developed a fondness for her and silently wished he had spoken up about the whole Dark Jusdiciar nonsense before it was too late. He told himself often and frequently that it was because he wanted her to himself; he almost believed it.

Astarion's expression remained a mask of smug arrogance as he looked down at Shadowheart, his eyes carefully searching her own, "Maybe I do..." He replied after a measured second, "But first you're going to use your words, and you are going to tell me what it is you want, and we'll see if I feel generous enough to provide."

as it stands, she remains trapped beneath him. something she does not entirely hate, she's coming to realize. this was certainly the most fun she's had since taking over as shar's right hand.

" and what else would you have me do? beg for what i want as well? oh, astarion, i thought you knew me much better than that. " she mimics the click of his tongue & her mouth curls with a smirk, head canting as if it will give her a better view of him. " let's stop with this game, shall we? we both want the same thing. kiss me again. "
