Rachel Joy Scott

I remember him as this really shy kid, great smile, kind of a funny sense of humor, understated, piano player, boy scout. I just see him as a really sweet kid that took on his weaknesses.

I think she'd have her own style! Rachel was never one to follow the trends. Anything unique and funky to make her stand out from the crowd. I personally loved her style, but I am biased. 90's fashion has always been my favorite.

I don't know much about the ban wave. I don't scroll much to begin with on here, for the same reason I presume the censorship has been rightfully put in place. With that being said, I don't know of any active accounts. I mostly just try to keep up with news articles about Rachel. There are some great Rachel accounts that always interact with my posts! As far as new content, it's slim to none. Mostly at the hands of her friends and family at this point. But I don't wish for more. I'm thankful to come across what they choose to share. It's a blessing to continue to learn more about her and the lives she's impacted after all these years.

From what I've seen, nice boys! The few boys she was linked to were very kind from all reports.

For their sake, I hope not. I hope they don't even know what Tumblr is. There is a very dark and distasteful side to this platform.

I thought I would share a bit of soon to be demolished local history, that played a vital role in Rachel's life. The abandond, derelict building in these photos is the former Orchard Road Christian Center. For those of you familiar with Rachel's life story, this is where her Christian youth group called "Breakthrough " was based. It's about a 20 minute drive from the part of Litttleton Rachel lived in. On some nights the group met at members homes, but they all met here at least once per week. This youth group was absolutely pivotal in shaping who Rachel was, and it was here that she had some of her most profound spiritual growth. It has been abandoned now for almost a decade. If you're thinking it looks more like a mall than a church, you're right. It was originally built as the Beaumond Mall, lasted a few years, then tanked. It was purchased buy a church organization who then turned it into a kind of mega church. In 2017 the church and a few other remaining sub-tennants moved on, and sold it to a development group which was unable to do anything with it. The only thing it's used for now is as an occasional training area for local law enforcement. As I said it is scheduled for demolition, and plans are to convert it into a shopping plaza anchored by Whole Foods. I've driven past it every day to and from work for years and thought nothing of it whatsoever, until I recently found Rachel's story. I wanted to share it here before it's gone for good.

Thanks for reaching out, MSW. I was 15/16 when I first heard her story. What a great age, impressionable too. I often reflect on how the trajectory of my development was completely dependent on Rachel's story. It was my first week of high school. It is truly a blessing to grow up and battle teenage years and young adulthood with her as a North Star, a role model, instilling a moral system on kindness. It's such a gift. Share her story! What matters most is the beauty within, and she knew that.
