not great, for most of them.
Trip would swap between Doting Fun Parent and distressingly distant and distracted with pretty little warning. he'd love his offspring, he would do his best, but he'd resent the impingement on his time and freedom.
Silver, professional control freak that he is, would be a complete helicopter parent. not in a 'how dare you not give my darling everything they want' sense, but in the sense that he would know where they were, who they were with, what they were doing, at all times, and he would probably have opinions about it.
both of them would wind up accidentally weaponizing affection if their sky-high expectations weren't met.
Lights would only be, like. half a parent. most parents don't have the option of going 'I'm touched out and don't want noise, so I'm just not parenting for the rest of the day' but Lights would feel zero guilt about just leaving the parenting to Cliff if he didn't feel like it right then or if something in the lab was more interesting. however, his kid WOULD grow up appreciating The Wonders Of The Scientific World, so I guess that's something.
Cliff would probably not be terrible? I mean, he'd be a 'knows everything' helicopter parent, too, but he'd keep it more on the down-low and would be much less judgmental about it. also, between Trip and Lights, Cliff's kid would be set for life when it comes to Fun Uncles.
Sonic would also probably be fine. a bit out of his depth, but Sonic is also aware of how 'asking for help' works, and he's the only one of the group who could be described as any level of well-adjusted. he'd probably try a little too hard to be his kid's friend, but he'd grow out of it.
Highstrung would wind up either raising a similarly anxious mess to himself, or he would wind up raising his own emotional support crutch. possibly both!
Free Fall is naturally prone to over-stimulation even without his outlier, and kids are also prone to a lot of very big, very chaotic emotions that Free Fall would be subjected to. in a sense, he would be a very checked-out parent because he would dissociate his way through parenthood. his kid would not ever get to know what their parent's personality is until they were some semblance of self-sufficient because Free Fall would be functioning on over-taxed autopilot the entire time.
Knives would probably also be alright at parenthood, as long as the kid never actually saw him interact with Trip or Silver. most of the time, he's very understanding and has a decent grasp on his emotions, and he's generally got a decent head on his shoulders when it comes to being a rational, sensible individual. granted, he would definitely be the Chris Hemsworth half of that parenting meme.
the best outcome would probably be if the group was inflicted with one sparkling that got raised communally, since then there'd be someone else there to cancel out someone's worst elements. kid would still probably be kinda fucked up, tho.
