Good Omens (TV) #044 Title: Pairing/Characters: Aziraphale/Crowley Rating: Explicit | E Warnings/Tags: No Warnings apply. canon divergent post-s1 Summary: The world didn't end, they survived execution, and are no longer on opposite sides. Now, there is nothing standing in their way... except for them. Aziraphale is convinced that Crowley should make the first move, and tries to give him increasingly ridiculous openings to do so. Meanwhile, Crowley is so used to telling himself that Aziraphale doesn't mean any of the innuendo that he sometimes says that he's missing some obvious hints. Such as Aziraphale putting on lipstick then offering Crowley a taste, or asking Crowley's opinion on the accuracy of human-written erotica books involving demons.
After an impulsive offer turns to Crowley posing nude for Aziraphale, and Aziraphale extending an invitation to his bedroom, Crowley finally decides to take a chance. It's not his finest temptation, but at this point Aziraphale will take it.
#045 Title: Pairing/Characters: Aziraphale/Crowley Rating: Explicit | E Warnings/Tags: No Warnings apply. canon divergence post-s1 Summary: 5 times that Aziraphale ignored his attraction to Crowley, and one time he did something about it. The first time that Aziraphale desired Crowley, it was in Uz and he didn't understand what he was feeling, manifesting an effort without thinking about it and having to ignore it. By the time that Crowley rescued him from a dungeon in Paris, Aziraphale was already used to ignoring his attraction. He almost decided to risk it all after Crowley saved his books in 1941, until being reminded of the risks. Then, during their time trying to prevent Armageddon, he was tempted by the lovely Ashtoreth and the sight that was Crowley in a skirt, and finally by Crowley pressing him against the wall.
After they stop the end of the world and escape punishment from their respective sides, Aziraphale and Crowley have lunch at the Ritz. Not wanting this moment to end, and knowing he'll be distracted by his books as soon as he sees the bookshop again, Aziraphale suggests they take a room. Now, he no longer has to deny what he wants, and they won't let lack of experience get in the way of expressing their feelings physically.
#046 Title: Pairing/Characters: Aziraphale/Crowley & Maggie/Nina Rating: Explicit | E Warnings/Tags: Graphic Violence. setting 1941, human AU, period-typical homophobia, anti-gay slurs, religious trauma, internalised homophobia (a lot of it, due to religion), familial abuse (physical, verbal, starting from childhood), WWI mentions, WWII setting, background nazis (as enemies), minor character death (enemies), shooting, eye trauma, chronic pain, mentioned children death, alcohol abuse, mentions of an abusive intimate relationship (Lindsay towards Nina), smoking Summary: 1941. Alcohol smuggler and secret informant for the British government Crowley returns to the closest thing he has to a safe haven, an underground pub that's unofficially a queer pub, and offers some entertainment. There, he meets a terrible magician who goes by Fell, and who tries never to get too close to anyone. Despite what Nina (and later Maggie) seem to think, Crowley insists he's not interested in pursuing anything with this Fell, but his reasons are complicated. After getting hurt in WWI, and dealing with the guilt of the death of a group of children that he couldn't prevent, Crowley is afraid that he destroys everything he touches. They still strike a friendship, with Fell trusting Crowley enough to reveal his name is actually Aziraphale, and without meaning to, Crowley falls in love, but it all goes wrong when Aziraphale asks him for help with the Bullet Catch trick, and the stress of having him hold a gun and ask to be shot leads Crowley to confess his feelings and kiss him. Aziraphale is horrified and sends him away, then later exposes his true views. He has been thought from an early age that he must repress any homosexual impulses and desires, and wishes Crowley would do the same, for the sake of his soul. Having left home as a teenager to be able to be himself, Crowley refuses, and that should be the end of it, but Aziraphale keeps hoping to get through to him, and Crowley wishes he could find a way to make Aziraphale accept himself, because he's clearly miserable.
After Crowley is nearly killed by a nazi ambush, saved by Aziraphale who overheard the plan, Aziraphale realises that Crowley might die before he repents, and decides that if that's the case, Aziraphale would want his soul to be doomed as well. He tries propositioning Crowley with this reasoning, but Crowley refuses to sleep with him until he can accept himself, so Aziraphale returns home to the family that hates him. There, his brothers, who hate everything about him, hit him and lock him in his room, promising he'll be sent away from London never to return. Crowley finds him and convinces him to run away, giving Aziraphale a place to stay, and Aziraphale trusts him, but he's not ready to let go of the things he was taught. They slowly start to pursue a relationship, although Crowley still refuses to sleep with Aziraphale until he can accept himself. Unfortunately, Crowley had asked his contacts to be sent away on a mission while he and Aziraphale were fighting weeks earlier, and now he has to go to continental Europe, leaving Aziraphale with Maggie and Nina. When he returns, it's with new traumas and the certitude that he can't live this life anymore. Aziraphale and Crowley move away from London together, and once they settle in their new home, Aziraphale explains that in their time apart he came to have a new idea of sexual sin, believing that love, even between two men, would prevent the act from being sinful. He can't let go of all of his beliefs, but he can accept himself now, and Crowley still has his traumas, but he tries not to allow them to push him away from Aziraphale anymore.
