Welcome to the MHEA 2022 Masterpost!

Hello I’m sure you all thought I had forgotten but the truth is that life very much got in the way, weddings, work, anxiety and my sister had a baby!

I would like to thank everyone who participated in this event. I know it didn’t flow as smoothly as in the past but sadly I didn’t account for how work would get in the way. I am still very proud of everyone you all did masterful work.

How do I participate? There is no sign-up for this event; simply post your fics to AO3 and add it to the ✨Queliot Kids Week collection ✨ or post your work to Tumblr and tag us in it.

This event is meant to be chill. Let’s get Queliot a baby (or three)! The prompts are there to get the plot bunnies hopping, not make you feel like you have to write something detailed about the adoption process or the foster system. A fic in which their kid is adopted but the focus isn’t on that is fine! You can focus solely on the alternative prompts, too. There are no word counts or restrictions, and any fanworks are welcome.

I know there are other events, but trust me, this one is easy if you want to participate!

THE INSPIRATION:

If the fictional world of Fillory exists, what other worlds are waiting in the Neitherlands? That’s up to you!

What if the Brakebills gang ended up in Sunnydale? Or Middle Earth? No one really knows where these fountains go. It could be the past, the future, or an alternate universe, or a forgotten timeline. What if Penny just jumped in one after the other and wrote down what he saw? Sounds fun. Write that, somebody. 

THE RULES:

-This is meant to be a laid-back event, so the rules are simple. The collection will open on AO3 on 10/31/21, and you can add your fics and art to it then. There are no deadlines. The event is to get creativity flowing, not stress. 

-The event is for newly posted work. If you want to post outside of the collection prior to the opening date, that’s fine! Just please do not post previously published works to this collection or they will be removed.

-Any pairings and any ratings are accepted, but please tag your work accordingly. Untagged or deliberately triggering content will be reviewed and removed. If you have any questions, please reach out. I will check this Tumblr daily. 

-The work only has to involve the Neitherlands fountains. Anything goes!

It’s easy for Quentin to figure out that he’s bi. It’s not quite as straightforward to figure out why, most of the time, he doesn’t seem to want anyone at all anyway.
