Polyamory
Reblog if you’re polyamorous/open to polyamory in the future/in a polycule or open to one/interested in polyamory I want to see how many of us there are
And like if you think polyamory is okay, can be healthy, and doesn’t “go against human nature”

Straight people: why must you label everything, were all humans
Also straight people: Put that down Rebecca, that's a boys toothbrush !!
Amada and Regina Haro by Leroy Hamilton Photography
So I use the label 'lesbian'. I use it because I hope that the word can evolve with the times to mean, like, 'i'm attracted to people who resonate with feminity' or something. That wording could not be broad enough. My current partner is nb amab trans, and is quite androgynous. Although they use she/her and they/them pronouns, they no longer call themselves a woman. The way I live my life, I can date this human and still feel like the label 'lesbian' gives me a sense of belonging... (cont.)
(cont.) I really wish other people that used the term lesbian could acknowledge that lesbianism is super broad and labels are just what give you a sense of belonging. Some people can be right fascists about labels!!
Honestly tho I mean I get that people like to have their own special labels and stuff and that’s cool but there are so many other ways to talk about bi culture or lesbian culture other than restricting eachother. I think it’s good that there’s a word for women who like specifically women and it’s good to have a label for that. But I also think y’know if you aren’t 100% a woman who likes only women, like in your case for example, but the word lesbian fits you the best, then it’s allright to bend the meaning a slight bit. I mean I get why labels are important to a lot of people. I get it. But I also think we need to chill the fuck out with discourse about this within the lgbt community. There are straight girls out there appropriating our terms so why are we concerned with other lgbt people, other wlw, people like us, using the terms that describe them best. Idk I just see us, the lgbt community as a whole, as just like a big group of brothers and sisters and family really and so it ticks me off that we’re so defensive and ready to kill a bitch over this stuff. We are all going through the same thing. Yeah it differs, I mean being a lesbian or a bisexual woman both have different experiences. But we still both experience queerness and being wlw and that’s the thing that bonds us together, that’s the thing that makes us a community. The fact that we share love for women. So I just don’t get why we are so stand offish to eachother. But anyway sorry I kinda ranted
Yes! So tired of the fucking judgement around labels. Also tired of having other LBGT blogs ask me not to follow because my label isn't the exact same as theirs.
There isn't a label that fits me perfectly and people try to decide for me and tell me why I'm not allowed to use certain labels.
I identified as a lesbian and then started dating my male best friend (surprising even to myself). Since I never see myself being with another man if we ever split and generally are not attracted to men I don't feel like "bi" fits. If I call myself gay, people say I can't be because one of my partners is a man. If I call myself a lesbian people get upset too. If I call myself homoflexible people have issue too.
Mind your own business and let people use the labels they feel most comfortable with.
