muse a is a creative writing student in college trying to prove to their parents that they are a capable of being adult and making adult choices. muse b is a child of divorce and the college dropout who has been in and out of the system since the disintegration of their parents’ relationship. both are on completely different ends of the spectrum. while muse a is responsible and has been taught to think about the future, muse b is more reckless and prefers to think about the now. they have been friends with each other since freshman year of college, and though muse b is no longer on campus, muse a still meets up with them frequently to go on adventures, thus letting their grades slip whenever they do. muse a has had feelings for muse b ever since they first met, but muse b is too childish to realise this, and when confronted, they use their parents’ relationship as an example as to why relationships are bad. however, muse b begins to develop feelings for muse a, though they are unaware as they have never known what love is before. they just know that it doesn’t sit right whenever muse a hangs around with someone else and that they would like to be that person instead.
