Getting dumped on the Santa Carla boardwalk is not a recommended experience. Especially by the person with whom you had shared an apartment for months. You were left in the dizzying bright lights of the boardwalk, the carnival music that previously faded into the background became the demented soundtrack to your panic. The person you relied on for months for a place to stay, emotional support, protection. Everything. Left you with nothing but your car and whatever belongings you had kept in it, which thankfully was most of them.
You sat on the railing of the boardwalk, zoning out as you felt your heart rapidly beating in your chest—you could hear the rapid pounding in your ears, adrenaline pounding so loud you could probably run a marathon, but all you could do was sit. Paralyzed by the fear of having no future. The world was once again at the chaotic, blurry state it was in when you had first run away, all the way from Louisiana. In hindsight, moving from Louisiana to Cali for "safety reasons" seems stupid. After all, you now resided in the murder capital of the world, you could have at least stopped running halfway through Texas—but you essentially just kept running, or driving, until you hit a wall. That wall just so happened to be here.
You left because of a vampire, and little did you know, you just threw yourself into the arms of several more.
This group congregated on the boardwalk. Four young men who seemed to cause trouble just by standing around. You never paid attention, really, maybe the passing compliment, but nothing more. Oh, but did they notice you? David particularly could sense that something was off about you; there was another vampire attached to you, perhaps distant but certainly still lingering—if not by your body, then in your soul. David and the boys always watched from a distance, waiting to make a move. And tonight was that night. He watched you, brooding on the Santa Carla boardwalk, watched as you begged for your ex to stay beforehand. It was pathetic, really.
David strolled up to you, leaning against the fence you sat on. "Boyfriend ditched I take it?" You were zoned out entirely and didn't quite register what was said, "S-sorry, what? I wasn't paying attention-" your words became more breathy and rushed toward the end. David simply looked down and smiled before looking back up to give you a devilish grin and gloved hand. "Join us tonight, you look like you need some fun." You hesitated at taking his hand, "I- Are you sure? What made you pick...?" David chuckled and grabbed your wrist, pulling you down from the ledge, "Just trust me."
Riding on David's motorcycle was one of the best thrills you could have experienced, him and the boys making loud, excited noises as they rode through the Santa Carla beach. Everything was a complete blur of fog, sand, and the smell of the beach, as well as David's jacket you had been pressed up against. David had a unique smell to him that you tried your best to identify, some mix of a cologne which smelled like cherry and rum, the scent of leather—which you couldn't tell if it was from said cologne or jacket—cigarette smoke, and something strangely metallic lingered on him. It was nice in a way. The blur was disrupted once you all arrived at your destination, some sort of cave, or at least that's what it looked like.
David gave you a whole spiel about the cave, which was a hot resort that caved in during the 1906 earthquakes. Now it's theirs. David insisted on getting you food, you told him over and over that you didn't have an appetite—well, you did just not for Chinese. You were getting bold, clinging onto him, hands around his waist—he found it amusing. And it seemed your moves toward David did not go unnoticed, as the long, dark-haired member of the boys (Dwayne, was it?) shooed the boys out for food. David nodded as Dwayne shooed them out and brushed a gloved hand on the side of your cheek.
"Are you truly this desperate for me already? I haven't even done anything yet." Your hands were all over his waist. "Why else would you bring me here if not for this?" He laughed, you figured the only thing David wanted was sex—it's what everyone else wanted. No good deed comes without a cost, and why would you be given shelter and offered food if not for your body? "Is this what you want?" That was a stupid question, but the kiss you landed on his cheek answered that. "Then so be it."

David fucked you as you'd never been fucked before. He seemed your age, but somehow felt like he had the experience of centuries. Maybe, David was a whore—like minds attract after all. You wrapped your arms around his bare skin, which he only agreed to let you feel when you begged for his jacket to come off—you noticed just how cold his body was, cold like a corpse; it was a familiar cold that you denied in your head. He probably just ran cold, there was no way David could be— You thought was cut off by a gloved hand on your chin, caressing your cheek. David noticed you were lost in thought, and he was a selfish man; if anything should be on your mind as of now, it should be him.
"Eyes up here, princess." He gripped your face, "And they stay up here." He continued thrusting into you, fuck, it felt so good. He hadn't even been in you for long, and you were ready to cum. David had full control over you, and all he had to do was hit the right areas and say the right words. You couldn't even express with words that you were coming undone. The only warning David got was your walls hugging onto his length tighter than before, and the feeling of your slickness as lubrication for him. You were extra sensitive as he kept going until he had finished in the condom he slipped on before starting.
You were left out of breath, gripping his biceps, head on his chest, looking up at him. He seemed completely unfazed. "Got what you wanted?" You nodded your head, "I want more." David chuckled, but he couldn't hide the surprise on his face. "More, huh? Well, don't whine when you get overwhelmed." David pushed you down and spread you open, using his teeth to scrape and nip at your folds. He was painfully fucking slow. His tongue, like his body, also felt cold. The coldness, however, felt great in your aching hot core, and you were sure the whole cave could hear your whines—well if anyone was there to hear them.
David ate you out until you cried for him to stop. It's not that he waited until that point; you had begged him to continue until you were how you are now. David's face was covered in your ejaculation, and he licked every bit of it off his face like frosting. You lay on the bed, shaking, overstimulated, while David took his sweet time smoking a cigarette. After finishing his appetizer, however, you were shocked when he picked you up bridal style off the bed. "What are you doing, David?" "Cleaning you up, sweet treat."
Although built on what is basically the corpse of an old hotel, there wasn't exactly running water in the cave. What there was, however, was a small spring that somehow managed to form from the wreckage. David slowly dipped you in, grabbing a soap bar nearby and basically massaging your body with it. With his gloves off, you noticed just how long his nails were; they were nicely kept, too. He got in to wash your hair, his hands felt like heaven on your scalp as he scrubbed.
"How often do you wash your hair, doll?" You were admittedly surprised by the question; it didn't seem like one David would bother asking. "Two days ago, why?" "Just checking." You chuckled as he continued washing your hair, "Worried about my hair health?" "What am I not allowed?" You chuckled again, "No, it's fine, just... wasn't expecting you to care." David didn't respond and simply kept running his fingers through your wet hair and scrubbing your scalp. It was odd to you, David, caring about something so frivolous.

David took such good care of you. God, he was so gentle, drying you off and carrying you bridal style to what seemed like his bed. You sat naked in his lap, simply admiring his face and those piercing blue eyes—although one was more green than blue. His hand, now with the gloves again, slipped under your chin and lifted it ever so precisely. "Look into my eyes, doll, I want to see your beautiful eyes." The more you looked at him, the fuzzier you felt. You wanted to take your eyes away, but couldn't. "Good job, dear." His voice felt loud in your head despite him not raising his voice or octave from his usual.
His fangs went into your neck, and you still couldn't move. It was like sleep paralysis. Your eyes were glued to his, and you couldn't drag them away. His voice was booming in your head, clear as ever, "Just like that doll, you're doing so good." Everything felt like it was processing in slow motion, but it was completely undeniable now: David was a vampire. The exact thing you ran from. You let yourself fuck up again.
The second you regained control you pushed David away, a tactic which didn't really work as he quickly regained a hold on you. He tightly held onto your arms pulling you closer to him. You started to instinctively cry, begging David not to kill you, or keep you trapped simply to drain blood from. David held your jaw so roughly yet so gingerly and looked at your panicked, crying eyes, and bleeding neck from where he took blood, "What happened to you doll?" He had always sensed it, if not for your scarred neck no matter how far you ran the scent of a different vampire couldn't be hidden.
"Oh princess, if I wanted to hurt you you'd be lucky to still be standing right now. I knew there was something with you." He had wiped the tears from your eyes and held your face so gently you melted into his touch. Despite somewhat relaxing, you couldn't bare to tell David everything you'd endured, everything you left at home. Everything. The thought made you cry harder. Your face planted in David's chest, he ran a cold hand through your hair, speaking in such a way that calmed you and made your pain feel slightly less painful in the moment. For someone who sounded so condescending most of the time, he somehow had you feeling comforted. The part that slightly scared you however was why?
Why was David treating you like this? Why take you off of the boardwalk? Maybe David wanted to use you, and this point did you really care? How could you care when you were tired from crying and started falling asleep on his chest as the rhythm of him running his hand through your hair stayed consistent? Maybe this vampire wouldn't be awful to be bound to. Maybe Santa Carla was truly your forever home, or maybe David would make it so he would be that forever home.
After awhile, the dark haired man from earlier came in to toss David a new pack of cigarettes. He stared at you, half asleep on David's chest. "She one of us now?" David took out a cigarette from the fresh pack despite the half full one on the table by his "bed," "It's a work in progress." Dwayne nodded, "Vampire nearby?" David shook his head, "Doubt it." Dawyne took a cigarette, lit it, and put his lit one up to David's unlit one to light it—almost like a kiss. You squirmed a bit, trying to keep awake while your eyelids kept forcing your eyes shut for split seconds as you fought sleep. David put a gloved hand over your eyes and shushed you, causing you to give into sleep in David's arms.

You woke up sometime later, tucked into the covers of the warm bed, a candle lit, and to your somewhat dismay—no David. It was warmer now, you could feel it. The temperature had gone up, not drastically but you had lived here long enough to recognize the change in California heat as the sun rises. As much as you wanted to stay in bed, you forced yourself up. You wanted out of this damn place. A small laugh came out of you seeing your neatly folded up clothes on a chair in the room—David was considerate at least.
Once your clothes were on you started making your way to the exit of the cave, still worried David wanted to keep you here. Your heart dropped when David was the closest he could get to the entrance careful to avoid any sun, smoking a cigarette as usual. "Shouldn't you be asleep?" David let out a small laugh which blew smoke out of his nose. "I wanted a cigarette." You rolled your eyes with a slight smile, "When don't you?" He took another puff, "Touche."
"How ya feelin' doll?" You stood by the other wall by the entrance, "Sore, tired." David let out a proper laugh this time, "Good." "Why's that a good thing?" "Well," David took a long, suspenseful drag of his cigarette, "means I did a good job." You rolled your eyes again yet didn't bother to make a move towards the entrance, worried if you did he would grab you and drain you dry just for the attempt. Instead you were hit with "You can leave, ya know." Your eyes widened a bit and you pushed yourself off the wall, "You're not keeping me here?"
David nodded while taking another drag from the cigarette before it was between his two fingers, "We'll see you on the boardwalk." You nodded not sure if that was an assumption or demand. You could never tell with David. Walking out of the cave you trudged back to your car all the way back by the boardwalk, now you had to figure out what the hell to do, where to stay. And the answer was obvious as you drove back to the cave, and David greeted you with a smirk.
