Bobbyâs summer was fairly uneventful. For the most part, he stayed with his grandparents and helped them around on the farm. It was only on the weekends that he was able to travel to Hogsmeade and help out with the animal shelter. Since Francois was busy a lot, he spent time with his other friends and even got Logan to volunteer with him a bit.
While the summer was a bit boring, it was better than being stressed out and upset. The last few weeks of school for the Gryffindor were highly stressful, and the calm, mellow days of summer were almost therapeutic. However, he knew the same could not be said for Francois. The Slytherin was almost as busy as he was during school; it was crazy, but Bobby understood. They had lunch sometimes and hung out for an hour or two, but it wasnât really like when they were in school. Bobby didnât want to admit it, but he was starving for some kind of affection from the other boy. They couldnât really make out in public, and hugs that lasted longer for 30 seconds werenât really welcomed in public either.Â
So, when Francois told Bobby he was finally moving into his own apartment, the Gryffindor volunteered himself to help. There would be no roommates bothering them, no grandparents walking in, and no strangers staring at them. If Bobby wanted to pet Francois and cuddle with him, he could.Â
âNo worries, Francois, plus with magic, I doubt this will take longer than 10 minutes.â Bobby got out his wand and looked at the tiny furniture, thank goodness he didnât trip or step on that bag when he got there. âJust tell me where you want stuff and I can place it there. Or, I can place things and you can fix them how you want.â
Francois felt bad about not being able to spend much time with Bobby thus far over the summer, but hopefully that would change now that he had his own place. They didnât have to worry about a roommate arriving earlier than expected (well, not until Adela arrived in late August, but once school started sheâd be living at Hogwarts) or feel awkward because Bobbyâs grandparents - as sweet as they were - sitting right outside his door.
âYeah, but itâs still nice to have company,â Francois set the dollhouse size sofa down across from the fireplace (every apartment in Hogsmeade had a fireplace for quick access to floo-powder travel). He pointed his wand and it instantly grew to its original size.
âSo everything from my bedroom goes in there,â He pointed to the door on the left side of the living room. There was another door on the opposite side of the fireplace that led to another smaller room. âThe other room wonât have anything in it until Adela arrives.â
This had thus far been Francoisâ busy summer ever. It started off with going back to Francois right after graduation. His father certainly hadnât wanted Francois home, but his mother and little sister had been very adamant about keeping him around until he found someone to temporarily move in with in England. That lasted about and a half weeks full of awkward dinners and trying to get out of the house as often as possible. It was during that time that Francois had managed to convince his mother - and through her, his father - to let Adela live with him in Hogsmeade before school started up once he had his own place.
Once he got word from a friend who offered up the spare room in her flat to him he was on the first boat that took him across the English Channel. Once in Hogsmeade Francois had turned his part time job at Ollivanders into a full time one. There werenât many people who went to the small school-side town for wands/wand repairs this time of year though, so his boss had offered Francois a position in their Diagon Alley location. That meant he had to apparate to and from London almost every day, but it was worth it if it meant heâd have enough to get a two-bedroom apartment in Hogsmeade before the end of summer. Wand-making was something he was passionate about as well, so he couldnât complain.Â
Between his job, traveling, and helping some friends, Francois didnât have a ton of time to spend with Bobby. Today however he was finally moving out of his friendâs flat and had asked his boyfriend to help him unpack. The apartment heâd picked was (unintentionally) Â close to where Fiona lived, but she was almost never there since she lived with her dick of a fiance. Vidiaâs and her parents lived semi-nearby as well, but since summer started heâd only seen her two, maybe three times.Â
âThanks again for helping me out,â Francois smiled before dropping his bag in the middle of the empty room. âI shrunk most everything so it would fit,â He squatted down and reached in to pull out a miniature sofa. Most all of the furniture was either from his room at his familyâs home or a âsecret-giftâ from his mother.

so obviously this already happened, but for anyone who wasnât here for it Iâll recap what changed on Francoisâ side: so for like 2 (or was it closer to 3?) Francois was trying his damn hardest to ignore his feelings bc he thought it would ruin their friendship (homeboy was clueless and had no idea Bobby already felt the same). He started acting more nervous and awkward around Bobby for the most part and more protective.

Francy and Bob. Fiona came up with âFrancyâ and shared it with Bobby, and then in retaliation Francois shortened Bobby to Bob.

Grant Louis is disappointed in his son and frustrated by the relationship; to him itâs just another âgreatâ reason for all but disowning him. Diane Louis is so damn conflicted because on one hand Bobby isnât rich or pureblood (âand heâs a maleâ) but on the other hand it secretly warms her heart that her son found someone that can make him so happy. ADELA LOUIS IS THE ORIGINAL CAPTAIN OF THIS DAMN SHIP (now a co-captain with Fiona) she got sooooo excited when she found out.Â

It was all fun and games until Francois called him Bob. The Gryffindor took in an offended gasp and looked at him. Bob? Bob?! How dare he. At least âFrancyâ was adorable, Bob just sounded⌠wrong. âOh donât even start with that. Bobby doesnât need to be shortened, itâs already cute. Francois on the other hand⌠Is it possible for you to have a more french name?â Bobby said this with a grin on his face teasing him back. He sat up a little and playfully gave him a shove. âIâm honestly surprised you donât laugh like hon hon hon.â
Francois tried to hide the amused smile that was creeping its way onto his face. Bobby thought his name was cute, did he? âIâm French, of course my name is going to sound French. Is that a problem, Bob?â If he was being really honest, when heâd first met Bobby he thought the boyâs name sounded like the name of a fat white guy on some American cartoon.
This time it was Francoisâ turn to fake gasp, âI cannot believe Iâm dating someone so uneducated.â He shoved Bobby back, âNo one in France actually laughs like that. Well, no one sane at least.â
Bobby was about to give Francois shit for moving away from the kiss on the cheek, but before he could say anything, the Slytherin hand a firm hold on his collar and stopped him from doing anything. There was a reason why you didnât play with fire⌠and that reason was because fire was extremely good at playing the flirting game and heating your face up.Â
The âWand Daddyâ nickname was mostly for jokes, but when Francois put a spin on it, the Gryffindor realized exactly how dirty it sounded. His face turned red and he was met with flirty kiss. As much as Bobby wanted to kiss him back, his mind was dying of embarrassment and he pulled away as best he could with a big grin on his face, chuckling, and covering his face.Â
Francois smirked when Bobbyâs face heated up, which then turned into a full grin and a laugh when he covered his face and pulled away. Serves him right for trying to give his boyfriend awful nicknames. âNot as much fun when the tables are turned is it, Bob?â Francois wasnât going to let Bobby call him Francy without getting in one nickname of his own.Â
Graduation - the long awaited and much anticipated last day at Hogwarts. Not that Francois disliked the school of course, he was just excited about starting his life. Heâd saved up enough money to start renting an apartment in Hogsmeade starting this summer (his mother had offered to give him money, but he declined) and as soon as he had enough to start up his own business, thatâs what heâd do. Francois had planned out his whole future, so long as there werenât any major bumps in the road ahead of him.
In the crowd of families, behind all the students, sat his mother and younger sister. Whether Diane was there simply because she wanted to see her son graduate or because Adela needed someone to accompany her, Francois wasnât sure, but she didnât look unhappy or bored so he hoped it was the first option. His father had of course opted out of joining his wife and daughter, but Francois was okay with that. He hadnât expected him to come nor did he enjoy Grant Louisâ presence.Â
When his name was called Francois stood up, straightened his attire, and made his way over to the stage. Heâd been conflicted over what spell to do, but ended up deciding on a pretty little light charm. It wasnât anything particularly impressive, but he wasnât looking to impress anyone. Adela would probably think any spell he casted was great; she loved most all magic. His little sister would begin attending Hogwarts in a few months and this was her first time ever visiting the school. Though she had always dreamed of attending Beauxbatons like both their parents, she was excited to go to the same school as her brother - even if he was graduating the year before she enrolled.
Francois was on the last step that led up to the stage when he felt something - maybe an eyelash? - in his eye. He raised a hand to quickly rub his eye and hopefully move the offending object to a less annoying location. When he opened his eyes back up though, he was no longer in the Great Hall. Instead he was inâŚ. Candyland?Â
Tall hills and mountains made of giant assorted chocolates, a candy cane forest off to his right, lollipop trees lining the road of sparkly pink sugar below him, a greenish/aqua sky dotted with cotton candy clouds above him, and a lake of melted chocolate fudge to the left of the path he was walking down.
âRancis! Quit lagging!â Francois spun around in the direction of the voice. It wasnât his name that was called, but he instinctively reacted nonetheless.
The speaker in question was a young girl (she couldnât have been any older than nine) dressed in a pink and white tracksuit with a sparkly candy strawberry hat to accompany it. Surrounding her were a bunch of other tracksuit-candy-esque dressed children.
âRight⌠sorry,â The voice coming out of him was not one he recognized. It was as if heâd been aged down ten years and lost all traces of his French accent. He was thoroughly surprised by the change - as if he wasnât already confused enough by the change of scenery - but the glare the little platinum haired girl had on her face told him to quicken his pace and catch up with the other racers.Â
Racers? How did he know they were racers? Sure they were dressed in, albeit odd, tracksuits, but they were kids. The only racing children did were around the yard playing tag. Not the kind of racing he was thinking of. The images that were popping up in his head were that of candy cars and golden coins and scoreboards and racetracks. Francois jogged up to the group, not really taking note of the fact that they were all the same height as him. He didnât think to look down at what he himself was wearing either, the thought that he might look different not even crossing his mind yet.
Up ahead sat a shop with a 40âs style âIce Cream Parlorâ sign above the double sugar-glass doors. It was built with waffle cones and decorated with all sorts of pastel pink, mint, light blue and chocolate brown sweets, including a roof covered with sprinkles. Francois was at a complete and utter loss for what was going on - was this some weird graduation day test? - but found himself fascinated by the world around him. Honestly, who wouldnât be awestruck if they popped up in Candy Land?Â
There were a hundred questions floating around in his mind as he followed alongside the girl who called him âRancisâ and as time went on he was, somehow, slowly thinking up the answers to them - as if he was magically unlocking forgotten memories.
It was tradition to visit Queen Frostineâs Ice Cream Parlor before a race, which was where they were currently headed. Francois always got the Reese's sundae, Candlehead would order a cake batter milkshake, Taffyta would get strawberry-
Wait, how did he know their names?! Heâd never met any of them before! ...Right?
âRancis, câmon,â Snowanna, the snow cone styled racer, lightly pushed him forward through the open door. âWhatâs up with you? Youâre totally out of it.âÂ
âI-I think I need, uh, a moment to myself,â Francois dismissed himself from the group.
Jubileena, a cherry themed girl, smiled kindly, âWeâll order for you.â
âYouâd better hurry up and pull yourself together,â Taffyta lead the group over to a table. âWe wonât wait on you.â
Francois ignored the other racers, not really caring if anyone ordered for or waited on him or not. Upon reaching the restroom he quickly slipped in and closed the door behind him. He started pacing, despite the small size of the pinstriped room. What the hell happened? Why wasnât he still at Hogwarts? How did he know all those kids? He went to run a hand through his hair - something he repeatedly did when stressed - and thatâs when he noticed the significant change in his appearance.
For starters, he no longer had a prosthetic. Francois stood frozen in place, eyes glued to his left hand. It had been years since he last had matching hands. It almost felt weird to look down and not see metal. Was he dreaming? That was the only logical explanation for what he was seeing. It was still the night before graduation and he was in some REM sleep mode. If that was the case, then how does he wake up? Slapping himself seemed dumb. Maybe splashing some water on his face would do the trick? Thatâs what they always did in Muggle movies at least. He walked over to the sink and-
Francois let out a noise that could only be described as a mix between a gasp and a shriek when he caught sight of his reflection. WHAT HAPPENED TO HIS FACE?! WHY WAS THERE A PEANUT BUTTER CUP ON HIS HEAD?! WHY WAS HIS HAIR DOING THAT WEIRD SWIRLY THING?!
He felt light headed and was starting to back up towards the door when someone shouted from the other side, âRancis! You alright in there?â
Francois spun around too quickly and his, surprisingly slippery, shoes tripped him up. âMerde!â He cursed as he fell, falling silent when his head hit the sink on his way down. In a moment everything faded to black and he lost consciousness.Â
And suddenly he was back in Hogwarts, standing in front of all his peers, on the Great Hallâs stage. Headmistress Salvania was standing on the opposite side with a polite smile and his diploma in hand. He felt⌠odd. Why had he paused? Francois gently shook his head of the feeling and continued to the center of his stage. He couldnât have his mind preoccupied right now. The Slytherin half-smiled as his friends out in the crowd like Fiona and at Adela near the back of the room. He raised his wand and wordlessly casted his spell.
A golden light flew out from the tip of his wand, speeding around the room in a spiral until it reached the center and burst apart in a shower of sparkles. Francoisâ grin grew into a genuine smile and he turned around to receive his diploma.

The road to get here was hard fought and long, but in the end only one team could win. After the upsetting loss for Ravenclaw at the house cup last year, the team set out to make a come back. But in the end they fell short. Ravenclaw caught the snitch but lost. 230 to 220. Good season to all teams and congrats to our house cup winners Slytherin.
Francoisâs reaction was as good as gold. As the Sytherin grew flustered, Bobbyâs grin spread across his face. Thatâs what he got for not wanting to play along with nicknames, if Bobby could think of something worse, he would. âOh, but I think itâs perfect for you!â He chuckled and leaned in to kiss him on the cheek as he moved away. He had to lean in a bit extra since Francois was trying to get away. How rude.
Francois was tired of continually getting flustered. Bobby used to be the one with pink cheeks all the time, but since they started dating the tables had turned and Francois was always the one getting embarrassed. He was a Slytherin, dammit! They werenât supposed to be the easily flustered students. When Bobby leaned in and kissed his cheek, Francois decided he was going to make his boyfriend regret embarrassing him with all these - terrible - nicknames.
Before Bobby could sit back Francois twisted his index finger around the front of Bobbyâs shirt and pulled him back, so close their noses were practically touching. âFine, but not in public, alright?â His voice was low and soft, and he waited only a moment before closing the space between them.
