actor Jaque Catelain / Photographer Dora Horovitz, 1925. While he maintained a public image as a dandy and heterosexual romantic lead on film. Catelain was the long-term romantic partner and artistic muse of prominent French avant-garde director Marcel L'Herbier. Their relationship was well-known within their creative community, and Catelain starred in nearly 20 of L'Herbier's films.
