The Ramonos – Track 5
It’s never too early for a dose of pop-culture and chocolate. Fired up by triple-chocolate cookies, jelly babies and the return of Doctor Who, Ramon, Tom and Sofia are working away to perfect the design, marketing site and create as many new features on the app as possible in the last hour and a half.
Unfortunately, it has proved too tricky to get TxtNinja up on the smartwatch in less than 24 hours. Despite many hours of research, the documentation we’ve found is poor, and assumes way too much knowledge! Content with our MVP Android app, Ramon has perfected our Ninja-filled logo, while Sofia is working on the content. Tom is experimenting with our second layer of nice-to-have features, which would allow our users to schedule messages, entering how long their journeys would take.
Last to sleep and first to rise, Team Arbot has reassembled while weaker teams continue to snooze.
After hours of frustrating debugging with the Arduino Robot yesterday, we are now well on our way to being finished. The robot is functional and controllable from the web interface. The "duck's eye view" camera feed is also working for users.
We're into finishing touches, which include loading images for the LED screen, touching up the website, and then mounting all the electronics inside the robot's case.

The Ramonos - Track #4
Ramon has managed to get the app working on his smartphone and we are now capable of sending pre-filled text messages! Further progress has also been made on the marketing website with the addition of some lifestyle-based photography highlighting the several use cases and scenarios of the app. With Ramon further building upon the app, Tom has begun looking into extending it to achieve smartwatch capabilities.
Duckfinder's royal name and logo has changed to Duck Finder. Besides designing an awesome logo, the development is going well. We're currently working on integrating all the components together. Its 23:14 and we're trying to keep Clement here as long as possible.

Team Arbot is soldering cables on the Arduino board to receive signals from the Spark micro controller. The controller will receive commands (via wifi) from the web and send them to the Arduino Robot.
Duckfinder update: After getting a little help from the Arbot team (credits to Sylvain Reiter and spiritual help from Bajpai bot in the making), we managed to get the Python installed and working, successfully communicating with OpenPaths API. The Python script is now running via CGI on our web server and we access it from our Laravel application. We're now moving into the user creation (via Sentry, a PHP package to manage users). Once this is done, we will move on to Google Map API JavaScript integration using OpenPaths data.
Team Served - Update #2
Progress has been steady with over the last few hours. Ben has completed the Rackspace API integration and the data from this is now populating the server list page that Cynthia has been building on.
The next step is fleshing out the dashboard page for each server (above).
The Ramonos – Track #3
Under the cover of darkness and sporadic nerf-gun shots, we’ve been busy researching new ways to develop TxtNinja as a web app. Currently, Ramon & Tom are experimenting with Appery.io, a user-friendly development tool where we would build the UI with JavaScript. We’ve also had a look at whether we can use Twilio to send & receive SMS messages through the app… but unfortunately it looks like each user would need a Twilio-connected number to be able to send their texts, so their contacts could receive from a recognisable number. We’d also have to pay for each SMS, which is not ideal!

The Ramonos – Track #2
Usually, coming up with a creative idea is the most difficult bit. However, we’ve been finding it a little tricky to develop our grand ideas, considering our lack of experience with Java, and the small amount of resources out there! Realising that it is too difficult to learn AND build in less than 24 hours, we’ve had a rethink – Ramon is now looking into developing our ideas as a web app instead.
Meanwhile, Tom has been flexing his front-end skills, building a microsite to explain the main features of TxtNinja. We’re using Hoisin.scss, the responsive in-house mini framework originally developed by Ramon, to ensure the website is optimised across desktop, tablet and smartphone. Teaming up with Sofia, the wireframes, colour scheme, logo, and content are also in the works. But the BBQ break was definitely welcome…
The duckfinder team is stuck... We have been trying to interface with OpenPaths API using various OAuth components for the last 3 hours. The team is starting to panic
The good news is that our responsive front-end view is finished on time. Happily coded by Calum and Raj.

In the meantime, Danny looked at a fallback solution using IFTTT (https://ifttt.com). We found that if he has the Android app on his phone, he can get his phone to post his location on Tumblr if he enters/exists an area. The same applies to Twitter.
The Duckfinder team hit a mini brick wall. We're currently struggling to get the REST Console to connect to OpenPaths API. Danny is going to try to use Kimonolab's instant API builder to try another route.
