Ms Miami vs Lady E

Before I watched the battle, I was a fan of both of them for different reasons. Ms. Miami became one of my favorites  because of her aggression. She doesn’t go light on any of the ladies in terms of her attitude. She comes with it.

I was a fan of Lady E because of her closed room battle with Ms. Tash I believe. She said some real shit and honestly I had respect for her. She’s from RI and she represented them well in that battle.

This was a good performance from Miami and just a straight tragedy for Lady E.

Round 1: Ms. Miami

I was a fan of this round. It had an awkward start up for me but I actually enjoyed how she flipped Lady E’s name. Sometimes name flips can get boring or overdone so I hate them almost instantly. This was one I enjoyed. It was simple and served it’s purpose without dragging it out. Then she flipped Star GIrl’s name and again it was just that bit to get an edge over Lady E.

"Cause Lady Red violated your moms and you let that star rock? Huh, Me? Jimi Hendrix the way I would have rocked Star. Hot 97 the way I would have dropped Star. Michael Jackson the way I would have popped Star.” -Ms. Miami (Feel free to correct it if I messed up)

As I said Miami felt pretty awkward in the beginning but she soon found her flow. I love when Battle Rappers are comfortable and aren’t afraid to get close. Miami definitely has her own swag about her.

Round 1: Lady E

First thing I noticed and one of my biggest pet peeves is not having a lead in. Something to where you get the crowd on your side and then start spazzing out. Lady E tried to grab the attention too quick but it just seemed too forced. The crowd obviously wasn’t feeling it. She also repeated things which made it seem like she was choking. She did her best to cover it up and it wasn’t a bad coverup it was just when she got down to it it was actually no bars. The whole first 30 seconds of battle seemed like wasted time and when you don’t have long to spit your round, that’s a lot. Then she completely choked, sometimes the pressure is too much so I understand but at least get your raps out. When she actually remembered her lines, she started going hard. Honestly if she was better prepared, the first round could have been real lit just based on the vibes and the attitudes. I don’t wanna diss E but honestly this round was a waste of time. If she would have been confident and been ready to go from the beginning the crowd would be feeling her a different type of way. Seemed like there were some bars there but behind the choking and her nervousness it was hard to hear them or appreciate them.

Since Panic Room is starting to drop slowly, as I refuse to pay for it, I decided to reflect on some of the latest events and the battles that happened there. First up is Caskets or Classics.

For me personally, it was an entertaining event. Now, I will say throughout all the battles it wasn’t as serious or intense as battles in the past. Honestly, they all felt like just some good entertainment on the battlers part. I’ll give a run down of each battle I watched. I actually watched everyone but 40 and Daylyt so if you do want me to review it just let me know and I’ll watch it too.

My favorite out of the five: Don Ladyii and Star Girl Lady Red (Judge me I’m ashamed too)
