PWHL Seattle will play on the lands of the Coast Salish people's, specifically the dxʷdəwʔabš (Duwamish), who are currently fighting to gain federal recognition!

Folks who live in Seattle and surrounding areas can give to Real Rent Duwamish to support their efforts for federal recognition, as well as other programs supporting habitat restoration and social services.

in all of this discussion about cbc filling hockey night in canada with pwhl, i think it's worth remembering that cbc has already been airing pwhl games on saturdays. last season there were 29 games on a saturday; 12 of those were aired on cbc in canada, vs 8 on tsn and 6 on sportsnet. pwhl games were aired on 16 saturdays across the season; cbc aired at least one game on 14 of those days. none of the cbc games were double-headers and so if they weren't played at primetime, they could have been. i strongly suspect that they were mostly played earlier because of the nhl hnic games at 7+10pm est, and now that that's no longer a thing, i don't see why we can't be getting hockey night in canada aka primetime saturday pwhl games next season. it probably won't look the same as the nhl hnic, maybe 1 game a week instead of 2, because of the smaller size of the league and tenancy situation in most of the arenas, but i believe that we'll get pwhl players with hockey night in canada towels around their necks before too long 🙏
