Shadow the Hedgehog Headcanon
I was going to keep this to myself, but I decided to post it because, yes, these are some scenarios I imagine him in a relationship. I admit that in some parts I was inspired by other headcanons I've read, but I did my best to write it in my own words.

β First, if you've been together for a while and the relationship is comfortable for both of you, he'll start living with you without you even realizing it, so just deal with it.
β The house will start to smell like coffee, cleaning products, and a little lavender.
β He'll swap your shampoo for one that has a lavender scent.
β Sometimes you'll find a thorn lying on the floor; he probably didn't even notice it.
β He'll go grocery shopping with you, and if you forget something, he'll remind you to buy it. He'll probably try to put an extra bag of coffee beans in the cart, so be careful.
β Sometimes he'll come home late because of a GUN mission, so don't wait up. You'll probably wake up to him hugging you from behind while he's fast asleep.
β If you're also a GUN agent and end up returning home late, you'll find him sitting on the living room couch waiting for you with his characteristic frowning yet worried expression. He'll tend to your wounds if you come back injured.
β If you don't already sleep together, he'll want to sleep with you from time to time.
β Sometimes he has nightmares about Maria, and sometimes wakes up screaming her name. Comfort him when this happens. He'll do the same if you wake up from a nightmare.
β He'll make you breakfast, but if you wake up first, he'd be very grateful if you returned the favor. If he woke up while you were making breakfast, he'd hug you from behind, wrap his arms around your waist, and watch you work.
β I don't think it's surprising to anyone that he eats coffee beans; for some reason, the bitter taste helps him relieve stress and anxiety.
β He'll buy takeout on weekends and sweets for movie nights.
β He's not as indifferent to crowds as many believe. After all, he used to go to live shows with Amy, so if you want to go to more lively places, he won't mind accompanying you. Just don't expect much enthusiasm from him.
β But of course, he would really prefer to go to quieter places with you, like a coffee shop or a bookstore/library.
β You two share an office in your shared home, where you both have your own desks, and when you're working on your individual work tasks together, he'll secretly glance at you out of the corner of his eye because he loves seeing you focused and concentrated on something.
β When you're having a bad day, you can bet he'll take care of you. He'll definitely draw you a hot bath, and if you've decided to keep things more intimate, he'll wash your hair while you relax in the tub.
β In general, he wouldn't be the clingy type, but he'd be protective and would do anything for you just to see the smile on your face. As the relationship progresses, he'll become increasingly affectionate.
