Before the story of dragons and arisen, the void is just is. It exists with no “story”. The watching one is the void itself but during their endless “fight” with the dragon(arisen)s they became a watcher, watching the story that goes on and on, as they became the story itself, especially after they “took down” the seneschal. Instead of an anti-seneschal, they are more like its mirror image, they became something exactly like the seneschal. The watching one themselves are good enough to me.

I understand if people choose 1 over 2, but saying it has a terrible story is bull. It took a long time to portray the Brine, and has npcs in main story who is actually tied to the arisen’s destiny other than the “beloved”. And as someone who spent 600+ hours in Dogma 1, I genuinely felt more joy in saving the world of Dogma 2.
