Sho-kun said that he went to check out the exhibition the day before it officially started along with the rest of Arashi. =)

Satoshi-kun hasn’t drawn much since his Freestyle exhibition in 2015. He didn’t have the feel to draw as he was going through a fair bit of struggles then. (T/N: you know, I know)

The time came when he had nothing to do during his stay-home time (and he hates it lol) and then he rented a warehouse for three months and did his Freestyle stuff there after.

He decided to do a colourful portrait of Johnny-san because he thinks that Johnny-san is a humorous person and also someone who has a lot of life experience.

He said that he likes the “Jun” kanji on his huge black and white canvas and thinks that it was pretty well-drawn. =)

He explained the meaning behind the design as,

“holding hands & hands, [it] will lead to the next new era”

for the various landscapes & expressions drawn in the hands,

“everything is not just about the feeling of being happy, but there are various emotions while alive, crying & yelling, even so, let’s all help each other”

for the lotus,

“one lotus grows from the mud. because it’s really beautiful, it’s like life”
