feeling thoughtful. { kairi & sano }
[The moment the last bell rings, the first place Sano’s arms go are above his head, a yawn accompanying the stretch of his limbs. He’d been paying attention, yes, as he wasn’t the type to doze off during lessons, but that didn’t necessarily negate the fact his teacher had one of the most droning voices you’ve ever heard in your life. A quick glance out the window to the streets that awaited him and he was up, grabbing his bag and slinging it over his shoulder as he nudged past the desks and joined the swarm on the way down the hall.
The moment feet hit dirt, he breathes in, relishing in the smell of fresh air. It was much better than being shoved in a classroom, that was for sure. Joining another student in step, a few friendly words were exchanged as they made their way towards the exit of school grounds. However, barely a few seconds later did a feminine yell reach out over the crowd of teenagers, and another soon follows before he can recover from the sudden echoing of his name.
'Came to pick him up'…good god. A few snickers are the result from the kids around him as Sano’s cheeks tint pink, huffing before pulling his headband so it was lowered just a bit more over his eyes. Another glare towards his classmate and he quickly detached from the crowd, stepping over to the older girl with his usual unimpressed look.]
Jeez, Kairi, do you have to yell every time? That’s so uncool. Just ‘hey’ would be good enough!
"Did I do something wrong? I was just letting you know that I was here, sheesh. So unappreciative." This doesn't surprise her, he always acts this way when she comes to pick up him up. "Learn to not care what other people think. It'll help you out in the long run, I promise."
"Besides," She sighs now. "You shouldn't say something like that to someone who's going to treat you to ice cream." She pulls a solid twenty out of her own schoolbag and holds it in front of his face now. "My grandmother gave me extra money today. So I was kind of thinking..you know, we could spend it." She rocks on her heels now as she waits for him to say something. Actually, because of her talking so much he probably couldn't even get his own word in, but oh well. That's just how Kairi usually is.
"So, want to go? Or are you too cool to come with me?" A huff and a puff of her cheeks now as she stared at him. Honestly, she's older and here he is disrespecting her by calling her uncool. If anyone was uncool it was him. Whatever, this is normal for the both of them though. It's not like it's something that she's not used to.

It's not everyday that she feels the need to talk to San Seiichiro, but when she does it's only because she wants something or because she's in a particularly good mood that day. When did they first meet? It takes her way back. It's a wonder how she's older than him, yet he towers over her. It irritates her, she points out his height everytime she feels it'd be right to. Really..if you would look at the two of them, you'd see that she's the bully and he's just the innocent boy who minds his own business. She's just joking of course, so he never takes it to heart.
What's she doing right now, you ask? Waiting outside of his school waiting for him to get out of class. She's come to see him today since she was released early. It was a normal thing..to wait for him sometimes. She rocked back and forth on her feet now as she gave a quick glance to her watch. Five more minutes and he'd come through the gate and see her. Five more minutes until she would ask to walk home with him. Kairi's a little excited for this, as she enjoys walking home with Sano in all honesty. It's always fun when the both of them are together even when she's poking fun at him.
The sound of the school bell rung through out the yard and within a few minutes students began pouring out of the building to meet with their friends and walk home. From where she stood, she saw the familiar white headband come through the door and she gave a wave in the direction from whence it came. "Saaaaanooooo!" She calls out, hoping to grab his attention.
"I came to pick you up! Aren't I such a good friend?"
✖ we are the reckless, wild youth ✖
It’s nothing new, really— the incongruous feeling that bleeds her cheeks of any color and pulls frail hands back to her lap. She doesn’t expect to belong, and it’s not because she’s special… not because these others are any less.
Frankly, it’s because they’re so much more. The group has several complexities in every angle, their dynamic strange and somehow functional, and she appreciates each vessel separately. Each of her ‘friends’ have so much to offer, and the blonde feels more like an idea than a human being. On occasion, she’d like to apologize without it sounding so strange.
For what— she imagines they might ask— and her answer would hardly make sense. It just so happens that sensibility is nowhere near their schedule as she crosses her legs and hears the comments on her left. Only upon their sound is she called back to a time and place that no longer stands as palpable… much like her former self.
And truth be told, it’s almost ethereal.
She might beam if it weren’t for the melancholia that weighs on her shoulders as soon as the vision of one sole, white room comes to an abrupt end. All she can do by now is wonder if they’ve seen something similar, or if they’ve seen anything at all.
These friends…
They’ve been together before. And she parts her lips to speak, but sounds don’t clear the air. Instead, the blonde can only take a glance in the right direction (where Kairi resides) with furrowed brows.
It's been awhile since she's been able to sit with them all like this, side by side. Vanitas and Roxas seem to be chatty with one another while Namine sits quietly beside her. It's typical and it's just how things are supposed to be. They're an odd group of friends, never would you think that they would all have found a way to stick together through all their differences. She wouldn't have it any other way though. Kairi loves it this way. She feels that she can be herself when they're around. It's more comforting than anything she has ever known.
Her thoughts have been weighing heavy today. She's lost in her mind more than she usually is. The voice of someone calling her that isn't there, someone who she's never met before but they seem so familiar. She can almost feel their warmth surrounding her, wtaching her closely. Keeping an eye on her, if you will. It's strange. It's like her own personal guardian angel who keeps her safe from harm and keeps her well and happy. How lucky she must be to have been blessed with something like this. Her attention turns to Namine now, furrowing her eyebrows down now. "Are you all right? Did you see something?" Her voice quiet, so only the blonde could hear her. She moves her hand to place it over hers in a small attempt to comfort her.
"You don't need to feel like you're alone," She starts. It's hard to feel like you belong in a group like this. Kairi can see it in her eyes that she feels out of place. "You've got us..even if you feel like you don't." She looked to her right now as that's where Xion was and began to speak once more. "Right? She has all of us?" And then to Roxas and Vanitas. "Aren't I right?"

She’s not very busy when the phone makes a small sound by the edge of her desk. In fact, the last work of art that’s dripped from her colored pencils is crumpled up in the trash can a few feet away. Whether it’s a blatant lack of inspiration or a few mood swings gone wrong, Naminé hasn’t the slightest idea. Trying to investigate only makes things worse, and that’s about all she’s aware of. At the very least, she still has a few empty sheets of paper that could easily be utilized… that is, when an idea comes along. The only issue is actually finding one of those. It’s unusual when they don’t— as she spends so much time observing that there are always images flitting through her mind, but this is an unusual case. As it marks the end of winter, the end of snow and all things purely white, she realizes that it isn’t necessarily her strong suit.
Still, there’s no time to dwell on that. Her phone is beeping incessantly, and she’d like that to stop sooner than later. The screen revealed a message that makes her blink three times, confusion sprawling about pale features. It sounds like such a lovely notion, but she’s scared.
Of course, it’s easy to trust Kairi - the redhead is impulsive and lighthearted and everything in between… This isn’t her fault in the slightest. The blonde is just tough to please, but she musters up an answer of her own.
[TXT] Okay! I'd be really happy to come with you actually! [/TXT] [TXT] You don't have to pay for me... but it's really nice of you to offer~ Thanks again. For thinking of me at all, really! I'm on my way! [/TXT]
A sigh of relief now. At least she wouldn't have to go alone and be by herself to enjoy the festival. She had no qualms about doing that, but it'd be much better spent with someone who's company she enjoys and while she has a few other friends she could've asked, the blonde had popped into her mind instantly when she thought of flowers. Naminé needed the fresh air and sunlight anyways. It'd be a good outing for her and perhaps she would want to come out more often when Kairi asked.

I'm glad. I'll be waiting for you then. I'll stand right outfront the town square so it should be easy to find me. Let's have lots of fun today, okay? I want to make memories with this.
With that message being sent, Kairi starts on her way to Paralia now. The train station was rowded when she got there, but that didn't deter her from waiting. As soon as the train arrived, she boarded and was on her way there. After what seemed like forever, the train finally arrived at it's destination in Paralia.
When she stepped off of the train, the overwhelming scents of different flowers overwhelmed her. It was the type of natural perfume that she loved. She breathed deeply to take it all in before finally setting off towards the front of the square to the promised spot where she'd meet her friend. This was going to be something to remember.

flower crowns. { kairi & namine }
Something felt terribly off about today. Kairi couldn't quite place her finger on it, she felt something was wrong. She couldn't shake the feeling that something was going to happen to her today. It made her nervous, nervous that she didn't know what was going on. Everything else seemed normal today..from the time she got out of bed this morning to when she went to school and went about her classes normally. She walked home, as usual and even said spent time helping her Grandmother with whatever she needed. Deciding that it'd be nice to get some fresh air, she thought that she'd take a walk to get her mind off of things. That was when she saw the flyers floating around the neighborhood about a Flower Festival of sorts? ( Naminé would like something like this. ) Maybe she should text her and give her the details so that they could make their way there together. It'd be nice to take her mind off of things and to spend time with one of her close friends.
With that being decided, she takes out her phone from her pocket, goes through her contacts, stops at Namine, and opens a new text to compose a message to her. It should be casual..nothing to make it seem like she had to go with Kairi.

Hey...I saw a flyer floating around that said there'd be a flower festival today. It's annual or something I heard. Anyways..I was wondering if you wanted to go with me so that we could chill out and maybe have some fun. I know how hard you're always working in class. I'll pay for you just in case you want anything since I am the one inviting you. If you're in, just text me back and be on your way there. I'm already enroute as we speak. I really..hope you'll come. But if not, that's fine too.
>>MESSAGE SENT<<
Now all she could do was wait for the other to respond just i ncase she refused. As soon as she got the okay, she'd be heading there herself so that Naminé wouldn't get lost, all she'd have to do is look for her.
About as much as you.
I'm pretty cool I don't know about you.

Thinking of y o u, Wherever you a r e.
We pray for our sorrows to end, and hope that our hearts will blend.
Now I will step forward and realize this wish.
And who knows: starting a new journey may not be so hard or maybe it has already begun.
There are many worlds.
And they share the same sky.
“Maybe… waiting isn’t good enough.”
