kinda one of the best parts of rayrard is knowing that nothing will ever be enough for gerard. like the goal post is constantly shifting. getting to see someone attempt to placate and anticipate the desires of someone who will never be satisfied…. is good stuff. makes it sooooo so much better when ray is capable of figuring them out. doing what they want before they even know it themselves. and ugh the self-loathing and guilt when he fails at his impossible expectations. disgustingly needy!!! needing to be needed!! perfectionism and vision so strong from both sides that it makes them eat each other.
