        WORDS are mumbled in favor of some inkling of left over pride from a timeline which taught haughtiness as a virtue; however, she briefly huffs and then looks up at the entertainment robot ( of whom she was friends with in her timeline ) and gives a scowl.

    Ceraun’s lips twitch into a pseudo-     smile, something she’s not wont to     do. Her hand outstretches for Chara     to shake.

        ❝ That’s a pleasant name, young one. I am Ceraun. ❞

    Her words march stiffly off her tongue.     It’s as if she is from long ago, far away.

        HESITATION makes her want to not take her hand, but she pushes herself out of her comfort zone and reaches out to take it, obviously nervous by even this slight physical contact. As if she expected some reprimand of agreeing to do it. There was even a brief flicker of fear, of predetermined pain in her eyes before it dissolves into blank confusion.

          “Oh come on now, anyone can sing,” It was true, anyone could–but should everyone? Probably not. “You should try it, I won’t judge, that’s my husband’s job.”

“Even if I could sing--which I c-can’t--I don’t have anything to sing.”

        ❝ Seventeen is not yet an adult, therefore you are a child to me, you see? …It is an interview. Something to perhaps land you a job, a source of income. ❞

    Ceraun lets her eyes lock with the     other’s, no malice in her message.     She is trying so hard to be patient.

        ❝ I understand if it is sudden; you have simply struck me as a capable worker. ❞

        CONFUSION replaces all the faked malice on the teenager’s expression, and they blink slowly ( like a cat ) at the stranger, before shifting nervously. A job? Every time she’s gone to apply somewhere, she’s always been turned down because she needs someone to sign her papers and... she doesn’t really have a family to do that? And suddenly she’s being given an interview by someone she’s hardly talked to?
