“..not gonna lie, it’s a pretty nice view.” Elizabeth told him, her eyes going up and down his body with a smirk. “I do need to get past you, sadly. I can still enjoy the view from the back though.”

“I stole nothing–”

“I’m kidding, chill-- what’d you do, though? I haven’t been paying attention to.. well, everything.”

“You’re making me a milkshake” he insisted again. Wade was not leaving without that milkshake promised to him by an early 2000′s R&B dance song.

“Whatcha gonna do if I don’t, huh?” She asked, raising an eyebrow.

“..yeah? I just asked what time it was, no need to get all pissy.”

“I did what I had to do. There’s no shame in that.”

“..wait, what’d you do? Did you take my fries?”

“Right, I’ve come to the yard already expecting a milkshake. So, you gonna get it or do I need to leave and come back again?”

“But that’s not how that’s going to work-- I don’t even have a milkshake. You should’ve have even come to the yard but here you are.” Elizabeth said, shaking her head. “I’m not making you a milkshake.”

“Umm, I’m in the yard. I’d like my milkshake now. I’ve done my part.”

“..see, no. You don’t just come to the yard asking for a milkshake.”

“I only drink on two occasions when it’s my birthday and when it’s not. Can you guess which one is today?”

“..hm, it’s not your birthday?” She guessed, her serious expression fading into a laugh. “Happy birthday!” Elizabeth exclaimed, taking the shot from his hand and downing it.

“We all have jobs around here, why don’t you get back to yours?”

“Ehhh, not really-- I’m just the crazy mind reader girl. I don’t work for y’all.. yet. What’s with the ‘tude, though? Lighten up!”

“You have a lot of passion too, it’s.. cute, in a way.” Elizabeth told the man, giving him an almost cheesy smile. She had to admit, she was flirting with him-- he was cute, and she was going to try to take advantage of that. “Really? A lot of people now say they were born in the wrong time period.” She said, laughing a bit. “They wish they were born in like.. the fifties, sixties. Stuff seemed so much nicer back then, yanno? Not in terms of equal rights, but..” She said, trailing off. “It is amazing! When I was fifteen, I was.. lord have mercy. I was a mess-- I’m pretty sure I wanted to jump every cute guy that game my way.” She admitted, covering her face with her hands. “It was so embarrassing.”

“You’ve gotta a little web…” Lia mused softly, thwipping some of the sticky substance onto the person in front of her with a small concealed smirk. “…right there.”

As Lia tried to put web on the girl, she stepped to the side-- just enough so it wouldn’t hit her. “Yanno.. you’re a really loud thinker.”

“I have no idea… do you hear anything?

“I’ve kinda tuned everyone out.” She said, giving her a small shrug. Elizabeth began to focus on those around her, repeating the few words she heard repeated out loud. “Hydra.. attack.. uh, S.H.I.E.L.D..” She told her, biting down on her lip.

“Well college students are known to be big drinkers so I suppose you’ve tried your types.”

“Exactly! I dunno, I’ve never really liked beer. Even as a rebellious teenager with no options, I refused to drink it.”
