@psychologicalwarclaire When I first read this scene in Spider's Web Ch 20, I just instantly knew that I had to draw it. But I was already working on the Introducing Tyrian and Astors drawing, so a had to put a pin on this idea for a while. But I've gotten around to doing it! And it was so fun to do!
This time, Donnie was not afraid to slip into the darkness. Because as far as he was concerned, as long as he was in his brothers’ arms…Â
He was already home.

I'm not kidding when I said I hyperfixated on this fic for a whole year plus some where I, no joke, thought about it every single day. It will forever hold a very special place in my heart.
Not only did I get to experience an amazing fic chapter by chapter, but I found a very good friend in the process :] When the final chapter arrives, I know it'll be bitter sweet. Bc it means its journey is at an end, but what a journey it has been! This fic holds some of the most memorable rise turtle moments! From Leo’s facial trauma to Donnie’s “WHO’S THE ENTERTAINMENT NOW!?!?” Iconic.

No longer
Now only a broken, shattered show

A scarlet portrait wrought of pain, and shame, and strain
I wanted this
Haven’t I always wished to fall
Into the abyss?
A lion with its mane clipped
And the world completely flipped

One year ago today, I had a conversation with my best friend @drsmer that would change my life forever
I'm going to ramble under the cut because I have so much to say
One year ago, I had never written anything like this before. In fact, I had never written fanfiction before. A drabble here or a daydream there, but I had never attempted anything like this.
I cannot believe how far this fic has come, how far I have come, and how much interaction I have gotten.
I just want to thank each of you for, at some point in the last year, taking the time to read my writing. I wrote Spider's Web With Strings Attached because the idea in my head would not leave. I needed to get it down on paper and Smer gave me the courage to begin.
I wanted to write a story that people would read and want to read. I wanted to write a story that made people feel something.
I just never imagined that you all would make me feel something in return.
Spider's Web is not done yet, and it won't be for a while. But I want each and every one of you to know how much your kudos, bookmarks, likes, reblogs, comments, fanart, asks, and comments have meant to me.
One year ago, I never would have believed how many people would go on to read and even love my fic.
