so uh... I decided to do something utterly crazy and usually out of my usual comfort zone and sign up for the showdown with Dawn. Even if she doesn't get in I wanna have some fun interacting with others some more so feel free to send across some asks 😌

More about Dawn:

Dawn Rose, daughter of Silver and Amy, is a spunky, happy-go-lucky girl with a passionate streak - having no problems with telling people things exactly as she sees them, no matter how blunt that may seem. She has the ability to create anything from her imagination as a construct of light, with the caveat she may only use her powers under sunlight, leading her to get hand-to-hand training from Amy. When she was younger, she tried to follow Silver through a time portal, but got stuck in the fabric of time-space, and now a part of her soul is tied to white space, causing her to travel through time against her will.

Her quills float & the tips glow orange while using her powers!

🌅: Around the house my powers come in handy. I like baking with ma, but I also love gardening with da. My powers can help sort jobs quickly such as sweeping or if something needs repairing as I can make the tools I need... I'd still need real material though since my light constructs eventually vanish.

I have a hole in my glove that allows me to muster chaos energy to propell myself forward as to become faster, so we're almost twinning with hand markings! Kinda...

🌅: Hi Ruby! It's nice to meet you! I have interdimensional siblings? Maybe I'll get to meet them one day....! I have to say I haven't met someone with so many eyes before. Does it hurt your head to look in so many places at once?

As for my parents

🌅: I'm extremely close with ma! I love baking with her and helping her run our bakery! The best bit is always getting to try the unbaked batter left over.... yummy! Ma is super nice. I get on with my Da too, I find him more cool than anything. I used to wonder why he went for weeks on end when I was little but following him through a closing time portal is both how I learned he looks out for the future but also how I got my own annoying uncontrollable time travel abilities. So I'd say I get on with both my parents but I love my ma greatly!

It's only a few days into Sonic fankid showdown but I wanted to say a massive thank you. I never expected 100 people to see Dawn, nevermind like her design and story enough for more than 100 of you to vote for her 🩷 Your support for her means a lot to me especially as this is my first time doing anything like this and it's usually wildly outside my comfort zone, thank you for making me and Dawn feel so welcomed.

🌅: Hi again Strawberry, thank you, you're pretty too! It's kinda odd but also cool getting to meet so many half siblings, I don't have any "real" siblings myself, just some sorta technically sisters I've met in White space once or twice. Long story! So this is all new to me!

Your powers are very unique, I have never heard of any ones like it. What was it like when you became aware of them - or have you always been aware? Was controlling them hard, or has it come easily?

Hm I suppose it's not every day you come across someone who can turn their imagination into physical forms of light, is it? Controlling them can be kinda hard, bigger objects are harder to imagine, and my powers become very weak when there's no sunlight, but I think I'm starting to get the hang of them.

I haven't actually always had these powers.... its only been about 7 years...

🌅: Since that day i've been able to create stuff just from my imagination and my markings have stayed pink!
