i got like fully jumpscared in a dream last night. i was cleaning this little room & opened a metal hatch and there was just like a completely normal old woman there with her face pressed right up against it. she made a weird noise and scared me so bad i actually woke up irl and shouted out loud in surprise

dating apps suck also bc everyone else has recent pics of themselves doing fun shit & the last time someone else took a picture of me for fun that wasn't a family photo was probably when i was like 19 . so all the recent pictures i have are selfies alone in boring locations

for some reason 26 is scarier than 25. 25 was nothing . quarter of a century whatever. i mean im losing my insurance so that's scary yes but like being undeniably closer to 30 than 20 is like... yeppppp. I havent done shit with my life & im still perma-single & i cant even rely on being a boring early twenties loser to defend myself anymore

got asked how my 4th was a lot at work today and i had to remind myself to be like Ohhh you know well i didn't really do anything haha how was yours? instead of talking about how displaying patriotism as an american is one of the most tacky things you can do and i dgaf about the 4th + i think lighting off fireworks in your backyard is stupid and careless

i do understand why people say 24 hour time is better but "it eliminates the ambiguity of am/pm" is so silly to me. if you're already saying AM or PM there is no ambiguity... + use context clues otherwise. if i say 'dinner at 6' do you think im asking you to dinner at 6 in the morning?

if this was the point in our evil cyberpunk future where we actually had some insane technology i would be streaming my job directly from my eyes to all of you just for fun so we could chat while i was working

i never cared about the witcher show at any point & playing tw3 again is killing me because now if i look up anything witcher related i'm forced to see henry cavill in a stupid wig

every year i'm baffled that fireworks are still legal here. i mean even if they weren't people would 100% still figure out how to get them but the fact that there's basically nothing stopping you from doing a whole backyard 4th of july spectacular in the middle of a suburban neighborhood at 9pm... that's not positive amazement to be clear i think if you're setting off the biggest loudest fireworks you could find in a residential area you should be flayed alive
