' who are we '

He does have curiosity, but that can be dangerous. He’s seen what happened to Mirage-Mew. He didn’t want to end up with more enemies. Why can’t she understand.

Quickly, his temper surges up and he turns, his tail flicking and one leg kicking a nearby rock. It rips from the moss and overgrowth like a bullet and crashes into a puddle nearby.

He tries to calm himself down. Nobody ever has any answers.

“I always knew, from the moment I was born.”

Born with information shoved into his head, with a brain forced to comprehend it. Confusion is different than stress. 

“What I know is that one must build their identity away from their creators. Be them clone, born, or whatever construct I am.”

But he pauses. Do well to remember that, she says.

I see you

beautiful and haunting,

But then he snorts,

“As if.” He has a good world view, he didn’t know what she was talking about, “For someone who hasn’t been living much longer than me, you sure act the part of an old codger. How about my view: you concern yourself with others of our species too much.”

“I’m not worried. I’m strong as well! And I have friends to help me fight.” And he mentioned a ‘us’ too, and her large eyes flicker this way and that,

“Who is ‘us?’ Is there more of you?”

“I can be a tree Mew.” 

“I’m sure you will! I got put back together after all,” She says, though she can’t explain how it really came about. She wasn’t entirely conscious of it. All she knew was that she was close to oblivion once.

Twisting mid-air so she’s upright again, the mew drifted down. “I don’t understand.” She admits.
