Deleted everything off this blog except my first post (the sayaka one) because I was embarrassed it still existed lol

Alternate Title: One of the Reasons Sayaka is so Awesome

 Sayaka has received blow after blow since 2010 since a scandal she didn’t even deserve, from no longer being a senbatsu member and gaining antis to this year’s shuffle where all at once her best friend; her captain position; and probably DiVA which was the one place she had left to shine was taken from her, and everything in between. With that and all the obvious mistreatment of sorts she receives from the management who no longer seems to like her very much, it’s impressive how much she still loves being in AKB (apparently being the one who actually loves it the most out of all of them) and working as hard as she does and putting so much into it.

So what keeps her going?

It’s clear that Sayaka is intrinsically motivated since she doesn’t really receive the things characteristic of extrinsic motivators. Even though in some ways she would be better off without AKB now, she’s in more ways better off with it. She really loves what she does and wants to be the best she can be, working tirelessly for both AKB and her fans to put a smile on their face in return for all the smiles they put on hers from their love of what they do. She really loves her fans, treasuring everything they do for her and give her and gaining her motivation from them, and showing her appreciation for them through everything she does. It’s especially clear at handshake events through the way she treats people and makes them feel about themselves and the ways she prepares for them like learning some sign language so she can talk to deaf people. She does something very brave for an idol that shows just how dedicated she is to not having a good appearance but being there for people and she’s in a perfect position to do it, seeking to meet people typically more looked down upon by Japanese society like the transgendered and the disabled and treating them just like normal people and with just as much love. People tell her things they are ashamed about about themselves and she never looks down on them. I read a post on here once where someone met her at a handshake event and said she had something embarrassing and came out as gay to her, to which she simply smiled and said “That’s not embarrassing!” and I thought that was beautiful. She demands respect, but doesn’t show any less to those who disrespect her, like the man who flipped her off who she scolded and wouldn’t let leave until he apologized whose hand she then shook with a smile and he went on his way like anyone else who had come to see her.

In conclusion, I would say the biggest driving factor of Sayaka is how much love she has for others, I don’t think I did this very well but oh well the moral of this post is that Sayaka r00lz basically.
