Listen when the beginning pacing happened and a lot of the big stress secrets were so lovely in their arc I did start to get worried about the suffering to come.

WAY too much time spent on a “redemption arc” for that evil woman. Like are we just pretending NONE of the past happened?!?

Or that she’s a decent human in the present while still treating him like her punching bag and less than garbage!?

What she’s a “good Mom” because somewhere inside the abuse she may have loved her daughter in “her own way” But she left a child to be beaten and tortured in a home? And STILL treats him HORRIFICALLY!?
